well the only games i play regularly are desert combat and brood wars... since I have 2 disc drives... they both stay in there
i dont mind myself except when the game actually plays worse due to the piracy check (morrowind for example).. in that case, i believe its perfectly fine for someone to download a patch/hack
It's so silly that you have to have a unique cd to play most of these games online and yet they still require the disk to be in the drive. If I play a game a lot I get around it, not like you're doing anything wrong.
Well they are designed to have a laser shot into them constantly, so a little warmth isn't going to hurt them too much. I've never had a cd damaged due to heat. It shouldn't happen, unless you're stupid and set them on something that melts onto the cd I guess.Quote:

I don't play many games, but those , I try to bypass the cd check.
It's not that it annoys me, but I'm lazy to get find the cd

I honestly don't see what purpose it serves. A CDKey alone (for online play anyway) stops any pirates from actually being able to use the game online. just about everybody knows how to find ways around it anyway, so it's not like it actually works. I wish these game companies would just give up on it.

CloneCD and DAEMON Tools. Voila, problem fixed.
Considering that I don't play many games on my PC, space isn't a huge problem.
I had to use the 'no CD crack' with Delta Force Black Hawk Down, because the CD wouldn't consistantly be read when I tried to start the game everytime. The game would only find the CD about 1 out of every 8 attempts.
