Simple deduction ... Today kid kills a man, idiots blame videogames for kids actions, before videogames existed idiots blamed TV. If this were true where in the he!l did all the psychos come from before TV existed? These days it's become all to easy for people to point the finger, it's classic scapegoating when in actual fact the people pointing the finger should be looking closer to home to find out the cause of the problem. Never once in the above cases do we find the parents being investigated or sued for millions, it's always some scapegoat.
As always the case will be dropped as it has no grounds, yet the government will enforce even tighter cencorship over everything ... it ruins everything for us sane people.
Just take a look at Germany for example. Some games are not allowed to be sold there or they get a censored version.:oQuote:

This is a frivilous lawsuit that will go nowhere, just like the others of its kind. It only serves to parade headlines for lobbyists who want to keep their topic relevant. Call me crazy but I bet UK law won't hold a video game maker responsible in any way for a person committing murder. There's just no reasonable liability.

It doesn't go with me. The US went into Iraq with the excuse of "Weapons of Mass Destruction." It moved away from the whole "War on Terror" deal. Also, I recommend taking a look at the patriot act and see some of your liberties taken from you, I feel it's unconstitutional. Where the hell are these "Weapons of Mass Destruction?" I have yet to see any reputable evidence that they exist. And now the government is saying well he was a tirant and he shouldn't be in power. Two things about that statement: 1. The US supported him being in power and 2. If your going to use that excuse what about every other tirant in the world?? That excuse just doesn't fly with me to be honest. As for our society being screwed I was a bit hasty but hey I see it in the news all the time :p . God damn news feeding me spoon fulls of crap every night. Punk *** kids, killing people for no reason, and then blamming video games. My other problem is these two kids who are both under age are gonna go to a "youth correctional facility" and be released with pretty much a clean slate when they turn 18-19 years old. Also, I can't stress this enough, where in all of hell were the parents during all this. When the parents found out and told people they had no idea, either A. Interesting Race observation here (Take this with a grain of sault if you want): Everywhere I look there are shows and news broadcasts making minority people seem bad, and yet all the worst crimes in the last 10+ years have been commited by the white caucasian(no clue if that's spelled right) male/female.
-School shootings: primarily white male teenagers.
-These guys that did this I can bet my life on are white males.
-A few years back the woman that drowned her kids in her car said that an African American man stole her car and killed her children and everyone bought it, for a while.
-A man killed his wife a few years back and said they were mugged by an African American man and people bought that too.
You see a trend here... I mean that spoon full of crap I'm telling you the news and reality TV feeds us is just that crap.

Well apperantly Iraq was cooperating with weapons inspectors but there were some "inconviniences" or so they said. The US was just angry that Saddam wasn't going to be a good puppet president so they kicked him out of office. Take Cuba for example, the US tried to get rid of castro but it was a big disaster, Bay of Pigs, even though the US brought him into power.Quote:

I'm just saying that the US is a bit too involved in other countries governments. The US has been very active in foreign governments since they let WWI and WWII slide out of their hands. I say be involved to a certain extent but don't overthrow an entire government just because terrorists attacked the US.
The way the world is now, if one country started going mad and taking over other countries with the threat of nuclear weapons the world would come down on top of them. As far as I know Saddam never did anything like this, sure he wasn't fair to his people but if the people don't like it there is civil war to turn to. Why does the US feel the need to be big brother to the world? It's ok to a certain extent but it gets out of hand fast.
I don't think U.S. always wants to be big brother to the world. They are expected to be. If we were to pull out our finacial aid and food we send to many countries world wide people would freak out. It has to work both ways doesn't it?

I agree though, go after the parents. Guns were accessible and they let the kids play the game in the first place. Anyways, this won't see the light of day.
Yep, this is what happens when parents don`t supervise(sp) their children and let them run loose and do whatever they want too.

Actually that's a misqoute. The military uses contemporary vidio game simulators for the soldiers the same as the Air Force uses contemporary flight sims to train pilots.
That doesn't mean that there's a connection to kids and vidio game violence however.
If anything the parents should be sued. Oh and ROFL about the bfg comment.
