Apparantly not big enough to get a game out in a decent amount of time.:p
I can't say I'm up on all the technical issues of doing so, but beyond symply moving the data over, to avoid dated looking graphics, they would have to rework their maps and models to a higher polygon count, and most likely would have to rework textures to be higher quality. Plus, all the custom code would have to be ported to the Unreal Warfare engine. If they are in fact still working on it, I would guess that is what is taking them so long.Quote:

I agree with Un4given, my games are few and far between, so I try to pick what ones I think I will like. Most of the time I only buy games when they go below $25. So they are old to everyone but me.

i personally can't believe that DNF has not been released. 3DRealms knows that the name itself carries a huge amount of sway. and it's not like the avg Duke Nukem player is very discerning. assuming it's in complete limbo right now, they should just start over again using Source or Carmack's latest and greatest, heck even an improved MP2 engine would be fine!
i mean come on, all i wanna do in DNF is kill a bunch of pigs and give money to strippers in full DX9 glory. is that too much to ask?!

It's a real shame too. The screenshots and story were so sweet.
But this game is doomed (pardon the pun).
Even if it does arrive, it will never live up to the hype.
