I usually only occasionally leave snacks in my room. I can't really say much about the food, considering it's 4:30am and I'm eating a pasta meal that I just prepared. :D
Gaining the right kind of weight is very hard. Losing is fairly easy. Gaining the wrong kind of weight is very very easy. Its probably going to take me a good 4-5+ more years to get to my primary goal of a leanish 215.
