Palms use Palm OS as the operating system whereas Pocket PCs use Windows CE I think. I've written apps for Pocket PCs in eVB but I *think* you have to use C++ for Palm OS.
Oh yea, .NET can do both.

So its OK to talk about piracy on the forums now?
Cry me a river. We are just talking about using a PDA for running ROMS. No one ever said they didn't already own the games.Quote:

are you questioning my ownership of chrono trigger?
You can talk about emulators, just not where to get the ROMS.Quote:

how much memory do the roms take? 120 bucks for a 512mb sd card is pretty expensive.
But cheap for what it is. For instance the cheapest SD card on Newegg is $143.00 and the most expensive is $241.65.Quote:

SNES rom ~ 2mB
Gameboy Advance rom ~ 10mB
SD cards are expensive due to their small size... if you had a PDA with a CF slot, like the asus a620, you can get a 4gb microdrive for $200Quote:

Impressive.
There's no way my PDA would replace my SP though. Doesn't look the most comfortable of hand positions.
OMG! Best game EVER!

NES ROM's are very small, usally < 100K. I have only have this one SNES ROM so far and it is about 400K. Haven't got any PS1 ROMs yet but give me sometime to enjoy what I already have. :) Morphgear works wonderful on my 4155, but I do need to overclock it a bit to get sound to work perfectly. But since I am normally playing in class I don't need sound and there is no need to overclock. It is quite easy to control the games, in fact you can even have a controller be put on the screen and used with touch sensistive buttons. :) Overall, this is probably the worst thing that could happen to my college career.
ohhh nice 4155
i recently upgraded my toshiba e355 to a dell axim x3i... i love the built in wifi

Gameboy Advance games run 60fps with sound!
Yeah, I got built in WiFi too, and bluetooth! You Axim n00bs could only dream of that. Hehe
I don't know where you get your prices.Quote:

http://www.flash-memory-store.com/ibmmicrodrives.html
summary
1GB Microdrive $154.95 after $20 MIR
2.2GB MagicStor (unreliable crap) $214.95
2.0GB Microdrive $338.95
4GB Microdrive (pre order) $488.95
Plus I'd rather have Flash because they are more reliable and take a LOT less power.
Eric
Speaking of memory, does anyone know the difference between a 'MMC' and a 'SD' card, becides the secure part? Are MMC cards faster?

Got a link to a store? I'd be seriously tempted at that price, especially with the exchange rate the way it is at the moment.

Thanks, I'll get my bro's gf to bring one over when she comes next month. That's only like £120 or so. Sweet.Quote:

Can't for the life of me find those links on the first url you posted though.
Sweet! So would I be able to pull out the 4GB one for use with my camera and replace it with the 512MB CF I'm using now? Or do I need to replace it with another Microdrive? Mmmm. Over 500 pics in RAW mode!Quote:

I understand the price of regular microdrives I was just wondering if that was going to be the normal price for that muvo or if it would go up?
and from reading that link it seemed there was some concern whether it would be propriatary or not. That they might have altered the drives a little bit and they wouldnt work in other things.
I don't think they have done anything yet. The guy was able to use it in his Sony F828 after formatting it. The hardest part of the proceedure seemed to be getting his 1GB Microdrive to work in the Muvo. That is not to say they will not do anything in the future if to many people are doing this. I hear mention of them soldering it in. Having said that I ordered one really quick :) I ordered from dell for $203.62 including tax (I'm in texas). It says $209 but you get 10% off when you look at your cart.Quote:

Ok I have a Casio Cassiopeia E-115. It shows its compatable under morphgear. Only problem is it has a 100mhz processor. If I O/C this is sucker (I never use it since I got it for free so I really dont care if I mess something up) can I get some SNES games running? I have 32mb of onboard Ram/stoarge, I erase all the **** on there -OS will I have enough to fit a rom, morphgear with enough ram to run it? Or shall I go spend so much on a 128mb Compact Flash?
