Ya, and STALKER looked badass too.... 3 years ago.
Ahh who could forget BUILD and its 200+ page manual. As long as you didn't try putting more than one room over another, or flood the map with..ahem.. sprites, or try to do a half a million other scenarios, it worked over 50% of the time!Quote:

Same here, first and last time. Imagine my surprise and delight when installing FEAR for the first time two weeks ago (I know, I'm behind the times), and seeing maps from Duke3d ported over for CTF. Now if someone would only make a Total Recall -style hologram mod for it..Quote:

Oh yeah, at least two levels are straight from duke3d (maybe you see them in CTF games only, it's the only version I play). One being the XXX Cinema (theatre, bathroom, outside, etc), and the other being the Red Light District (strip club, XXX store, etc). Whoever made the levels did a *fantastic* job and I hope there are more to come. Not for those under the age of 18, if it's not already obvious.Quote:

It's always fun to sneak up behind someone who's stopped to enjoy the view, then blow them up with a nice loud rocket and scare the crap out of em :)
Oh man, those look great! Is that a mod, or is CTF and those maps standard with FEAR?Quote:

Sweet, thanks for posting the links. I had no idea this was such a new development; I thought it was just new to me :) Hopefully servers will continue to update their rotations to fit em all in.
amazing.. I actually remember those places back in the day... sure wish this could/would come out and just blow away every game away including the new crysis? what/however its spelled..
They are custom Maps made outside the standard FEAR package. I'm not sure what all gametypes are supported; I've only seen two of em in CTF.Quote:

Makes me want to get back into level-building and create some old school ports of Action Quake II maps and even older school Quake Loki's Minions maps..
I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait to play StarCraft Ghost. Yippeeee!
I thought they canceled that game.
The page is gone now...
