Damn Internet took a crap last night....... Comcast uugghhh. So far I am really liking the maps, way better than mw2s cramped maps
the main thing I dislike about multiplayer is that it takes quite a few rounds to bring someone down. Totally unrealistic. MW2 feels much more real in that respect.....as a result BC2 feels more arcadey

The biggest difference was unlocking the XM8 as assault. It felt massively better than any other gun available. Woo! It took me like an hour to find a game last night because of this issue.
This game is amazing, maps are the right size, sound is actually really good.
I love the destructable environment, Back to playing what a fun game.

Yeah, PC version is the way to go. DICE already made the announcement of a map pack coming out and purposely making it free to PC users, unlike a certain other company..eh hem MW2.
Anyway, I am still waiting for my support ticket from Steam about the unlockables since I didn't get the redeem code with my purchase yesterday, even though the site says until 3/16 when you buy the limited edition you get the unlocks. I'm willing to bet by the time I do get them, or qualify for them, I'll already have them unlocked LOL.
I will make one recommendation..I highly HIGHLY recommend you register at battlefield veterans to get the M1 Garand. That gun owns. Well, except for that one time last night I mowed down a whole squad with the SAW. Sorry PointlesS for you having to hear my maniacal laughter and amazement that the whole squad watched and shot at my 4 wheeler as it went flying by and I shot them all in the back. Man, I can't wait to get home and get into some more action. The maps are really fun. That train yard/boat yard was freaking great. Was that Panama Canal?
I just bought this for 360, though I may be picking up a copy for PC in the near future as I'm currently upgrading my computer.

What FOV are you using?, I set mine to 90 not sure how I like it.

I believe it's under Documents/BFBC2/settings.ini. It should be on the last line.

I go back and forth on this game.
Waiting for the server browser quickly kills my desire especially since filters are off regardless of if you set them previously.
The random drops from games which means you also don't get as much if any bonus points.
In Beta I was already level 6 or so. I am still level 2 since I can't stay in a game.
You don't have to wait for the thing to load all the servers, just hit cancel after 5 seconds, voila there they are.
Had first crash to desktop tonight anyone else experiencing this?
The problem when I hit cancel is none show the latency.
Yes I have also had several CTDs with no error messages. I have also had a couple times where I launched the game and then it just disappeared.
Is it worth buying for the SP alone? I might play MP a little bit, but I like the SP in shooters more.
I don't even bother with the server browser, I hit Play Now and it finds me a server with good ping within seconds.

Click the Full Screen button for maximum awesome). Shots were taken using Fraps set to PNG mode; game is at highest settings with 4xAA and 8xAF, HBAO enabled and FOV set to 75.

Damn I just watched the GS review, this game looks insane. First FPS that makes me want to play the MP portion since COD1. Might have to pick this up even though FF13 is coming out soon. I'm ready to get out of school and get a well paying job... :p
