Lol I escaped without buying any:)
24 hour Deux Ex sale for its 10th birthday. $2.50 each, $5 for the package deal.
Never played the sequel, is it worth it?
I'd say the sequel gave me $2.50 in fun. It wasn't fantastic and didn't live up to the original (so I've heard for the second part), but was kind of cool.
never played the original. picked it up this morning.
Any graphical mods or tweaks that i should be looking for?

Just downloaded all the stuff last nite (one mod is like 900mb), havent installed anything yet but Ill try it tonite.
Deus Ex Invisible War was dumbed down for consoles. This is a real problem when you take a game which was all about being clever and making wise choices. The developers thought they could cut out about 80% of the intelligence of the first game to make something that would appeal to the console kiddies.
The result was the steaming pile which is Deus Ex Invisible War.
Modern consoles don't have many hardware limitations - yet games tend to be significantly less involved than those developed for the PC.
For instance, I bought Dead Space. The XBox 360 has a hard drive, so why can't you save the bloody thing? The only answer is the target audience.
Cool... CS:S is on sale for all you Mac owners. Great game
I liked The Invisible War. ::shrug::
Nowhere near the class of the first game in the series, obviously, but I think it gets a worse rap than it deserves because it IS a sequel to one of the greatest games ever. It certainly does have its flaws, I admit, but I think if it had any other name on the box it would not be seen as the steaming pile of crap that most seem to think it is; Take Deus Ex out of the title and imho it would at LEAST have been considered to be on the good side of average, maybe better.
