1400 dps wuuuuuuuut. :D
Probably won't play anymore until they patch some things. As a monk, Act II Inferno is a huge roadblock. It becomes more of a "farm Act I items endlessly to sell on the AH, then use that gold to buy better more expensive items", which isn't fun, IMO.
Once you get to Inferno, the AH is pretty much impossible to avoid. Heck, even in later stages of Hell you would probably need to gear up through the AH.
Really? Maybe in more difficult settings but in my first run thourgh as monk, I didn't think it was that bad... I did die few times in Act II but nothing to keel over for... and I didn't have to really worry about upgrading that much... have you upgraded your artisan goldsmith? That's much better route in my opinion...
I haven't even gotten past Act II on normal haha. Some of you guys are really cooking through the game.
What do you guys think of the story? I kind of wish they didn't flesh out the back story of diablo. Remember the first game? He was entirely mysterious, and somehow that made him much more sinister than he is in D3.
Story was ok. Only 3 real cutcenes for the whole game really made it worse than it could have been. They got really lazy on that part.
That's fine, if good loot was dropping from Act I Inferno that you could wear exclusively.
But as it stands now, most of the higher DPS weapons are dropping from higher acts. So.. basically, you buy the higher DPS weapons to out gear Act I. Then you buy even higher DPS weapons to out gear Act II, etc. (As a solo monk at least, I can't speak for other classes).
Picked this up,
Have 3 guest passes for anyone that wants them, so PM me if you do.
Dont like the new system for loot in multiplayer. The fact that you dont compete for what drops and everyone gets a "seperate" drop, kinda ruins the competetive elements of gameplay.
Theres really little to no point in playing with others on B.Net now, pretty much a single player game.
That said, its a lot of fun, just not gonna have the longevity that Diablo 2 had.
And if you ask "well, how did the first people get past Act I and into Act IV". There were talent build exploits that Blizzard patched in the last few days. Also, there was a basement in Act II that would always have one of those super nice, loot-filled chests, and people were reloading and going to it. I'm sure there are still some exploits for finding higher loot in Act IV as well.
I rarely ever died from Normal to the end of Hell. Inferno Act II is a huge step up in difficulty with elites and champion packs (boss fights and regular mobs aren't quite as bad).
My jeweler is level 10, and my blacksmith is halfway through level 8. Blacksmith is kind of like the new random dice roll loot, because you never know what stats your item will craft. At least with the AH, you know exactly what you're buying.
Getting my arse whooped in Hell act 1. Even with a group we are getting smashed lol.
