this team is getting a lot stronger... when i first joined there was only one person with 22k, now it takes 22k just to crack the top 10 and 21k to crack the top 15.

I wanted to crack 20k just to get on the firs page, if I get water cooling, and my CPU does pull 2.6GHz out of its *** and I am able to do 240MHz FSB (240x11???), I might be getting to close to you for 64bit owners' comfort ;) (I figure I can get extra 2k points if I watercool, assuming my 9800XT can do 500MHz core, I can run 240MHz FSB stable with CPU at 2650MHz ...
these ARE BH5 ;)
EDIT: I didn't expect to break 7300 in 2k3, by my calculations (3dmark2001se divided by 3, which is inaccurate but gives a roughly approximate score), I would be in the 7100 ball park, but when I realised that I got 2nd place in 2k3, it was nice, also nice knowing that my computer is the top dawg when it comes to 100% 32bit CPU in 3dmark2k3 :p

haha, you won't touch 24k on that setup, sorry bud... maybe 23.5k... even if you do get close, i'm not anywhere near maxed out on this setup... only 1.7v CPU and 2.9V RAM on the published bench, and that wasn't even my mushkin bh-5, it was corsair bh-6!Quote:

Stock Core of Video:325
Actual Core of Video:350
Stock Mem of Video:310
Actual Mem of Video:310
Cooling Used: Thermalright SLK 947u w/ vantec tornado. Stock Video
Your scores with links: 16,650
I hope this is the correct format.
Nice job there! That's the correct format dude! ;) You've been inserted into the team database, Welcome to the team!:DQuote:

thanks. Any advice as to what would make my scores go up? I have messed around a little with rage3dtweaker for my ati card, but every time I restart the program drops the overclock back to default timings. Whats more is that I think I got the same score when my vid card was at 324/297. Any thoughts as to both a better score and as to why my vid card o/cing program isn't holding a score? Thanks.
for 2k1se, you are better off increasing system clock, at the same system clocks and my stock vs. OC 9800XT settings, the difference is around 800 points ... not much, but raising system clocks (FSB/RAM/CPU) gives much more of an increase and will account for most of the increased score (almost all of it).

I can touch 24k, if I can pull 250/260MHz FSB ... and 2.6-2.7GHz out of this Barton ... and something on the order of 500/422 from my vid card ... what do you think?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but 24K really is not a realistic goal for your setup. You should talk to Xduck. He had the highest FSB I have seen for a barton and a vmodded v9800 pro and was still unable to reach that goal. He also did all of this with dual prommies.Quote:

I can tell you watercooling is not going to get you where you need to go and you will probably top out at about 22.8K
I'd listen to ranger, he's quite knowledgeable about stuff like this. Nice to see you around ranger! :D Slavik, you should talk to xDUCK, he raped and ravaged his Barton for the highest FSB I've seen from a Barton....so, ask him.;) Ranger's right about xDUCK using prommies for cooling:eek: , a WC setup wouldn't allow for such high OC.Quote:

What's the highest FSB he was able to achieve???
haven't you heard of the DFI INfinity hitting 250MHz FSB and over???
I can run memtest86 all day long on 240MHz FSB, but for some reason, prime and 3dmark fail ... might try a different BIOS ...

xDuck has hit 270 if i remember correctly (he has done at least 266). if you want 24k on your setup you will need something like 280x9.5 1:1 2-2-2-5, which is insane.Quote:

I hit 271 on my NF7-S. 268 1:1 2-2-2-11 CPU Interface on. For the 3dmark performance of an NF7-S at those settings, you'd need your DFI at 290 or so. ;)
I would disagree on that ... because I can try out at least 5-6 BIOSes and pick the best (look in the amdmb forums ;))
If I hit 240MHz, do you think I can break 22k? (240x10) ... also, don't forget that your CPU is running at 2.6GHz (the one posted on the team site)
also, don't forget that I ran 3.10 CATs ... so there is more tweaking in the driver section
however, I have found that using DirectX9.0b is actually better for me over 8.1 on win2k (extra 100 points or so) ...
xDUCK, why don't you run 3dmark2003? I'm sure you'll break 7600 ...

you might be able to get 22k just by getting another 10mhz on the bus... HOWEVER, you do not have another 2k in that system, it's just not there.Quote:

xDuck lost his video card and that's why he doesn't have a 23.5k score published.
I'm starting to see why 24k isn't possible ... how close do you think I can get?

260x10 1:1 2-2-2-5 and 500/4XX could put you over 23k.Quote:

here are some scores to look at:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7413532
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7587355
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7575230
all of them have their CPUs at an extra 200-300MHz and their video card clocks are pretty high, too ...
if (or when) I get WC, we'll just see how high it goes :)

Ahhh.. since Spring Break is upon me, I'm gonna do a full reformat and set up the system for some 9800 Pro benching. ;) What drivers should be good for 2K1? Cat 3.8s?
I'll probably have some scores within the next day here.:D
20K here I come!
BTW, got some new cooling for my VC and a tube of AS5. Maybe do a little comparison between AS5 and OCZ Ultra 2...;)

cat 3.2's are still the best for benching.Quote:

What do you think I can get as max in 3dmark (01 and 03) with my system?
consider the following:
I used 3.10 cats
my motherboard can run at 240MHz FSB, but stable (loosen timings?)
I might have WC looking forward to ...
there was a link that I had where a guy broke 24k on his infinity at 260MHz FSB ... don't tell me that it's impossible ...
Sure, but you'll probably need 2.7G+ and way faster clocks on the XT to get there. ;)
assuming you don't get any more CPU or GPU speed, 22.5k tops.Quote:

I can probably get a little better in proxicon, but I don't really mess with '03 that much and don't feel like re-running for 50 points or less.

'03 sucks too. It detected my cpu as 3.9xGHz at 257 fsb. '01 doesn't do that but you can either post the speed I gave or what the '03 score shows, doesn't matter to me. :)
Hey Mike,
You're updated dude! Fricking awesome score there!!! Sorry for the tardy update, been busy playing games....:o One thing though, could you elaborate on the cooling used, CPU and GPU - please specify.:)
Edit : I've also updated you 01 score - previous was 23xxx - but I noticed the setup has changed. It's still your best 01 score nonetheless so I've updated it too.;)
