Quality DL are something that you can't ever have enough of.

And it goes back to that old debate on draft day... do you draft for what you need... or simply take the best player available at that spot?

They cut a few big names. Darius didn't make it but gerard did? Moses didn't make it? Crockett was a good blocker, he will be missed. But they cut a o line starter last year and hawthorne. Lots of changes. Even Whitted is gone and he was Davis's sprinter. So Kiffin must have more power then previous coaches. Bush is on IR and Russel is not on the roster. Walter is probably trade bait at the moment. Or he will be cut when Russel signs.

I see Leftwich going to Miami.

I was being a bit sarcastic because I can't believe that the worst team in the NFL is so deep at any position that they can afford to throw away 3rd round picks. However, my point is that there were probably 3 or 4 O lineman taken after Moses who could start for the Raiders by next season. I bet they wish they had gone that route in the draft.

Well they have a new offense scheme that doesn't require a 5 step drop and are utilizing z0ne blocking. They were trying to shore up an already good defense by picking Moses. He didn't win the position. It's as simple as that.

BS, Peter King claims he was all over the place making plays and projected him as a starter.... even if he wasn't exactly what Peter saw, he could have been groomed for a year, burgess is getting old... who is the other lend? brayton? sapp (lost weight) ? just ridiculous to take a 3rd round pick and give it away for nothing, boneheaded as it gets...

Speaking of DL, the Broncos acquired Simeon Rice to a 1 year $3 million contract today. The Broncs really needed that after we lost Ekuban.
I foresee a bad season for the Broncos anyways, maybe just over .500.

Well Moses wasn't that great against the run (he's not that big) and was outplayed at DE by Jay Richardson. It's a bummer, but I'm not surprised.

atleast trade him for a 5th or something, damn man

Broncos COULD win their division, San Diego has a whole new coaching staff, who knows what will happen with them.

KC sucks hard all the way around except for "I'm as good as LT pay me LT money or I walk" larry johnson.

Raiders, we all know...

so it's down to SD and DEN, cutler is a gunslinger who isn't afraid to let it fly... javon walker is the best receiver in the division, san diego has crappy corners (cromartie looks promising, and they got that rookie oneil guy who shut down calvin johnson), denver has the better defense... not as good of an offense, but it could go either way.

Real nfl starts tonight. I am happy.
