Happy New Year
I think he would get blocked out of every play. He is not big or strong enough to shed blocks at the point of attack. A big hitting safety does not equal a linebacker. Beside the fact Dallas plays a 3-4 and outside linebackers in that system are usually more like 4-3 defensive ends.
I dunno, if he put on 15-20 pounds or so i think he might do well. Hes got a great nose for the ball.
How many people here who are talking about how good the Cowboys offense is are actual Cowboys fans? I'm not. Monroeski isn't. I don't think SMH is. So who are you talking to? Rabid?
I hate the Cowboys but I still think they have the best (potential) offense in the NFL right now.
Potential is nothing. Points are everything. They need to learn to play as a team instead of individual players wearing the same jerseys. Romo and Witten seem to be the only pair that clicks on the field. Romo cant handle the big games though. It sucks that they last Barber for the last few games, but good teams play through that. TO is a prima dona ***** that doesnt put football first. All he cares about is his personal numbers which to him translates to personal image. There is NOTHING personal about football. Its team or go home.
I wouldn't assume that he'd get blocked.
It's also why he may in fact be a good WEAKSIDE LB... he'd be lined out outside the LT and often without a TE on him.
There have been PLENTY of good WLBs who have been in William's weight range... 220lbs-230lbs.
Darrin Smith of the Cowboys in the 90's, a guy that you should remember named William Thomas, Lee Woodall of the 49ers in the 90's, and Sam Mills (in fact, who was an INSIDE LB in the 3-4).
I wouldn't assume that Williams wouldn't be able to shed blocks... especially as a Will linebacker.
I think without losing Felix Jones early in the year, and losing Marion Barber later in the year the Cowboys probably could've made it.
So. Everyone enjoying the playoffs? eh...
:(
Ravens win was huge. They have a great chance at the Titans next week.
NFL playoffs... my favorite time of year.
The o-line should be good, they just...aren't. Much like the cowboys as a whole.
If you just called me a Cowboys fan, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Here's me calling one of their losses "Christmas in October-"

As for the first round talent on defense comment, looking over the roster there are admittedly fewer than I thought (I believe last year or the year before they literally had 9 or 10 starters that came out of the first or second round, now it's more like 6 with 3 or 4 more on strong rotation), but they are still LOADED with talent. What's crazy is that none of them ever showed themselves to be busts; there isn't a Joey Harrington, David Carr or Cedric Benson among them, players that only kept their jobs because people kept thinking "maybe THIS will be the year they break out." they are all good players, they just can't ever get pointed in the same direction as a team.
You're calling me brainwashed as far as how good they are? I DON'T THINK THEY'RE GOOD. I think their talent is amazing, and that they could be unbelievable if they put their minds to it; that's not the same thing. My whole point is that nobody has the talent that they do, but there are clearly a good number of teams that are better. If you're somehow reading that as me saying that they're good, I don't know what else there is to say.
Congrats to the Eagles, for winning @ the Meadowlands and doing it with solid D. I'm still amazed their opponent in the NFCC will be the Cardinals  even after an atrocious outing by Delhomme.
I now hope the Eagles win it all; right on the heels of a Phillies pennant, means the Flyers are next in line.;)
BALLIN!!! lol
No more Mannings, woo!
I was kinda hoping the Chargers would win, make it a Ravens vs Bolts, Eagles vs Cards for the SB. Who wouldve predicted that? But then I remembered Rivers is a whiny ***** so Steelers are good too.
Course then we could have a Steelers/Eagles Pennsylvania Super Bowl. That would be wierd.
I hate the eagles. Gmen deserved to lose that game, the opportunities were there, they just couldn't get it done.
When my team gets knocked out of the playoffs I always find myself rooting for the underdog. sooo GO CARDS!
I'm not an Eagles fan and now that both the Panthers and Bolts are out, I could care less who wins. But a Penn Super Bowl would be neat.
Eagles are going to roll the Cards. Only reason the Cardinals got out of Carolina with a win is because Delhomme had an epic fail of a game. Of course, Arizona is very good at home, so I wouldn't necessarily be all that surprised if they DO win this weekend.
As much as it pains me to say it, I think the Raven's season ends this weekend. It's tough to beat a team 3 times in one season, and the Steelers have already beaten the Ravens twice, but this game is at Pittsburgh, Pitt looked very healthy for once against the Chargers, and Leron McClain and Terrell Suggs went out of the Titans game with injuries. I like Baltimore's chances, but if I had to bet I would put it on Pitt.
Go Steelers!!!!
Cardinals get a home game... Wooo
