Sorry guys. I renewed the domain with a new company and paid for it. But apparently I did it 5 days before the domain was going to expire so they canceled my order. Now I have to register the domain again with my original registrar. Don't worry, the site is still there, it's just a DNS problem.
I'll resolve it promptly.:)

Since this is for members of sharkyforums, it bothers me that the #1 score is held by someone who is not even really a part of our community.

On that note, you X800XT-PE types will take me down pretty quickly. I may well end up getting one myself, but I still want both new cards out on the street a bit before I decide which to buy....or at least see someone push a 6800U a bit like Macci just did to the ATI cards.

congrats mikead, i'll probably have some new scores in the next couple of days (last hoorah for the 9800) and then we'll see what happens with the new video cards... i don't think i have the fastest processor at this point but maybe when i get a new motherboard and some more vcore my air cooled 64 can compete with your prommy chilled P4.
I am behind you on this all the way. It's kind of silly to think we need to have a minimum post counts to join the team, but his membership brings that issue to the forefront. I have only seen him post his score and updates on the sharkyextreme site and I really feel that is wrong. I like to think of the 3dmark team as a family. Heck, the team is what really got me into the sharky community. So thanks for taking care of that.Quote:

On another note, I am really itching to get back into the game, but find myself dragging my feet. Being the Intel fanboy I am, I just keep looking around the corner for their next big thing before I jump back in. Oh well, I will just keep waiting a little while longer.

those dual core Pentium M's do sound pretty attractive... too bad they don't come out for almost a year :( for now AMD still looks like the place to be for benchmarking.
edit: on another note, i agree that the team is like a family... i joined this team when i had less than 100 posts and my score was just over 10,000... i think i was third from last :) but no one ever said anythign negative about my score, and through this site and a few other (and a little upgrade $$) i worked my way up a little bit. things have changed since then, and we've gained alot of members, but the team remains a part of the community, and you can't have one without the other.

Just wanted to say "thanks" to the bunch of you on this page for the words and recognition. Thanks. You guys summed it up nicely by calling the team a family. There has always been lots of support here from current and past team members and it's felt like family to me for quite a while. I've been beaten by some and beaten others since I've joined, but just like eshbach, haven't heard a negative word either way. To me, that says a lot about the group.

They love the share their knowledge on how to obtain a better score. Sharky is my home and I can never consider another forum or 3dmark team to join! (well except my own forum :D)

I got so inspired by your benchmarking talk that i did a 3dmark run today. It was a total disappointment, the cpu (1700+ DLT) that used to do 2.48GHz only does 2.43GHz, the motherboard (Epox 8rda3g) that used to do 225MHz FSB only does 220MHz, and my Club3d 9800SE@Pro makes wierd noises and locks up the benchmark if i go over 420MHz Core, it used to do 445MHz.
I don´t think that i will be benchmarking in a while, atleast not until i get some new hardware :(
this is prolly out of place, but I suggest splitting the results into more categories ...
