pghtechguy, will your FSB go any higher? Higher FSb is where your mushkin will really shine:D
I've had it post at 224 only to crash quickly after booting into windows. I've had it run at a 222 clock at 2-2-2 speeds but it doesn't stay stable at that speed for long. I'm not sure what's holding me back from pushing the FSB further. Any suggestions?
Edit: question for ya jetforce - how are you pushing 3V through your ram on an NF7 series board? Did you volt mod it or is there some other way to do it?
actually my NF7 overvolts so when i set it at 2.8 its at 2.9. ANd its set at the max forthe NF7 which is 2.9 so it ends up at 3.0
My bad! :o Missed the cooling used when I updated your score.....welll, whaddaya expect? It was 4 in the morning when I updated your score......:p :DQuote:

And yes - I've been pushing the 5900XT about as hard as it will go on stock cooling. Going to purchase a Zalman heatpipe soon. :) We'll see where things go from there.
Thanks Mikey!
Please update,Thanks.

Thanks for the update Mikey!
-Seems like you should at least break
23K.You have a good overclocking GT,mine isn't
that great compared to yours and others on
this forum, -but im loving Far Cry! :D
I updated your ram after getting your PM, must be getting old....didn't see the change in ram.:o Will try for 23k.....if I can get a massive OC on my card, my FSB simply cannot go past 222mhz.:( I'm playing FC @1024x768 with 4xAA/AF.....and getting quite playable FRs at that.;)
Mobo upgrade? -or you going to wait to upgrade to 939?Quote:

-If you were here in the U.S. Mwave has the Chaintech
VNF3-250 for $69,-thats a good deal, $$ wize anyways...
(there customer support bites) :(
I'm gonna do a fresh install after I'm done with all my er....critical DLs. ;) And yes, I'm looking at Socket 939 and a good S939 mobo with AGP/PCI lock....I'm tired of my VIA mobo as my SATA drives become unstable when I hit FSB 223mhz (is it 74mhz/37mhz on the PCI/AGP?) I had to reset CMOS after my last attempt, so I'm stuck at FSB 222mhz max. My present A64's gonna be my 2nd personal gaming rig, when I get my S939 setup up and running, the GT's going into it while my present A64's gonna have my trusty 9800Pro.;)Quote:

Edit : I may even get an x800XT for my first rig....been toying with the idea (usually, not a good sign:p )
you will see bigger 3dmark 01 improvements with the CPU upgrade. I get 24.5k Stock.
Any good S939 mobo out as of now? More importantly, do they come with AGP/PCI lock? I'm thinking of getting a KV8 Pro...last I heard, it comes with AGP/PCI lock, a Newcastle A64 3000+ (like mine) was OCed to about 2.5ghz.....man, I'd luv to hit that speed!:eek:Quote:

actually my last post was wrong :) i meant to type video card upgrade. you would be getting at least 23k stock on an X800XT system i think.
Just out of curiosity, what are some other 6800GT stock scores with A64? 22k just seems a little low to me.
I think alot has to do with my being lazy.....it's not a fesh install and my rig's full of programs running in the background. :o I'll do a fresh install....the much dreaded format....and see where I land.;) I'm checking up on newegg for the price of a good S939 mobo and an A64 3500+/3800+, only snag is, newegg doesn't ship outta the US.:(Quote:

With Win 2000,all unnecesary services disabled.

With Win XP, everyday services enabled,no anti virus.

so it seems to me that at 2.2ghz on the CPU (which should equal your CPU stock) and with a nice OC on the video card he should probably be getting somewhere around 1k more than he is...Quote:

mikey, chipset drivers installed correctly and everything?
I believe the problem lies with the fact that mine isn't a fresh install...my rig's full of crap running in the background. I'll do a fresh install, tweak and OC like crazy and see where I land. ;) I'll also pop in my Mushkin ram and see how they handle the OC. Besides, I'm talking with Ryder about getting me a S939 mobo (which would you recommend? AGP/PCI lock is vital!:D I'm also thinking A64 3500+ or 3800+) I've budgeted US$1k for this combo....;)Quote:

Edit : I've already gotten the Mushkin '222 Special', a TDK 8x DL DVD/CD burner, Fortissimo III 7.1 Digifire Ed.....am looking at a Tt Tsunami case, Antec Neo Power, amongst others.:)
I'm not sure how i can get another 1k more than i have otherQuote:

Benchmarking (2K1 anyways) and Far cry is 61.36 :)
Thanks for the tip, Ryder.;) I do trust you, I'm currently looking around for the best OCable S939 board...and I haven't quite made up my mind about whether to get a 3500+ or 3800+. With AGP/PCI lock, I guess I can easily push the 3500+ to 3800+/4000+ speed. Any news on the new Thermalright 120 heatsink? Do they have one for S939? Sorry for going OT guys....:o
I can't post a link because thermalright uses flash on their site, but if you go there and look under AMD, you'll find the XP-120 listed.
