60c?????
WOW! I never hit 100f with my SLK-900 and my Tornado 92mm @ 3000rpm even after hours of gaming...
I wonder if all the extra stuff you have (HD, etc) is causing the raised temps :)

I don't know what it is, but I was rather unhappy. One hot day (ambient in the room 70F) and it hit 59C after an hour of BF1942. With 2 intake 80mm and 2 outputs on my Lian Li, I should have had plenty of cooling. I just think it is one of 2 things. The Asus board reads the temps wrong, or the voltage problem with the Asus P4PE/L is really pushing my temps up like crazy.Quote:

What I do know is that a change of 3C after 2 hours of full load means my WC setup is doing the job.
I am very close to buying a prometia mach 2. WC'ing was fun, but I'm curious if I could sell my setup and break even :)
Those sub-zero cooling cases look nice :) But rather pricey and small IMO...
I rather stick with Water or Air for now :) Since my temps never go past 100f even when my ambient temp right now is 78f :)
I really like the Lian Li Prometia kit. Of course, all in, even if I own a standard Lian LL case, its going to cost roughly $1100 from what I gather. LOL.Quote:

I just got my water cooling setup not that long ago even if it is not installed :D but my temps were never that outrageous that it required such extreme cooling..
The only thing that I can think of that would need that cooling is to place the head right on the gpu instead of the cpu :D
What did you end up buying? How long until you've got it up? My cpu block is the Swiftech 5000, which has to be the easiest hs to install I've ever dealt with. The hardest part of the whole setup was getting the frothing out of my reservoir (I put too much Purple Ice in) and isolating the pump from the case (noise problems).Quote:

I am awaiting for Swiftech to rma my defective GPU cooler back to me... The pelt on my MCW50-T didnt work :(
Peltier, eh? Not bad! I have the option of addint a pelt in the future, but I didn't want to have to deal with another psu, etc. In all honesty, a Prommy started making more sense to me as I started adding up how much all of this stuff costs, etc.Quote:

big dog is the place where u cut open? or is there glass or sumthing there?
i cut the case.. sanded and painted it and put the window in
EDIT: Imagestation is screwin' me, ill try to fix it...
Well, I finally got a hold of my pop's digital camera and thought it was time to post some pics.
1)Pic of my system from far away, got my crappy polk audio speakers from the HP (getting a summer job so that will soon change) but for now got my loud a$$ stereo. Look to the right- headphones, pocket pc:D big speaker and quite stylish $50 lamp from JCPenny:p to the left we've got the stereo and some cd's plus some workspace and some drawers where i store tools, manuals and extra parts...niiice and organized. Oh yeah, my nice print...pretty nice, came with frame included. And, yes, my legs can fit under the desk, it's deceptivly large (that's a 19" moniter so...)
2)Close up, pretty self explanatory
3)Pic of the inside of my case, pretty messy and crowded. I'm getting round cables soon, so no biggie (if you think that's why my airflow is being cut off, you're right...and I tried moving some stuff around but no go, except I moved the mobo power away from the CPU fan side facing the intake)
Well, that's it, you've got the guided tour. Sorry for the image size, but that was the camera default and I was too lazy to fix it. :D So, tell me what you think:)

Fans are actually pretty bright and it also has a 12 inch red cold cathode. I managed to mount two red 92mm quad LED fans on the front behind the plastic cover so you can see the red through the front grill.
120mm red LED fans for the side intake and top exhaust. Window is a result of a failed case design. I couldn't get a decent pic with the flash on my camera off so this is all I got. Yeah, I know pretty average looking.
knuckles644, I took one look at that case and new it was an Enermax 710 :)
I own it and its a great case, but since video cards seems to get larger and larger... The HD cage at the bottom always interferes with my video card :(
I guess I should get an ATI, since they are smaller then the nvidia cards :)
