Its both really. From a points prespective Folding I believe gives you a lot more. Genome has no deadlines so the points are lower. Both are worthy, but we all seem to be doing the folding part.

okay...now here's a question for you all. last night after i completed a WU it tried getting a new WU but it was taking forever. i ended up checking it in the morning and it finally had gotten one but then it screwed up and i lost it. that was the first one i lost!!!!! dangit!!!!! now, though, i just can't seem to get a new WU. anyone know why this is happening? it just isn't working anymore. and now i'm going to start falling behind...:( :( any ideas?

WOW! I just noticed our future estimate production chart, and we're really soaring above the other teams in our range. Great job guys! :)
schultz, I believe speedyaxon has the same problem as you, I have not had that problem myself. but it seems from reading what you posted, to have something to do with your overclock not being stable.
Meh, might as well. Sharky's SETI team is basically dead anyways, and this has a better cause to it ;PQuote:

the thing is, though, i've had my chip at the exact same settings this entire time. i haven't changed anyting at all yet. so why has it suddenly now stopped working properly? and i would expect to still be able to get WU's and then have a fault with the folding part of it, not with the actual retrieval of the WU's if it was because of my overclock...but i could be wrong. anybody else have any ideas?Quote:

edit - nevermind, there is another thread for this...sorry!
Can someone add me to the list;)
You don`t need to be added to a list, just go here http://folding.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/teampage?q=34149 (you might want to bookmart it) and your name, points, and how many WU`s you have completed will be lited along with the other team members. BTW, it takes a while for it to update.Quote:

Ohh ok, I just started so it could take some time.
I have my 900mhz lappy going 24/7, while my main rig will be on and off:)
ok, i just joined too! all i have to do do join the team is put in the team number right? if so, i'm in then :D :D :D
Yes you two are onboard :D 34149. BTW once your first WU is complete it takes quite awhile for stanford to add you to the teampage/teamstats. After your first WU subsequent WU's and points will usually show up around 20-40 minutes after you turn it in.
Team is Ranked at 800 right now...
Oh... wooooooooooooooooooooooooot. :D
I might be getting 2 more CPU's workin for me... 2 3.0c's. :D
One 24/7, the other part time. WITH 2 instances running. :D
That will pop me up to about 17-18GHz. Who wants to go?! ;)
Oh... and there's about a 25% chance that I will be able to get TEN more 3.0c's working for me.
30GHz plus 18GHz, can you say... cancer... i own you? :)
Get all of the people to help you that you can, your still falling behind. :0Quote:

You sound a little bitter, don't wanna lose first place? :)Quote:

33 members now and were are picking up momentum, just checked and we are ranked at 773 right now. :) Edit to add: went from a ranking of 800 to 773 in just a little over 7hrs.
we really are climbing...i wish i had more than a 16hr/day PIII 800 and 12hr/day 2.6C to contribute.
Not at all, I welcome the competition. Two or three or five people pushing me would be great for the team. I would welcome them with open arms. Sitting out front like this is not as much fun as you might think. It’s actually kind of boring.Quote:

crunch on, team!
one thing is, the higher we get, the harder it gets to move forward. i notice that our "Move - last 24 hours" number has dropped from over a hundred when i first joined to below 70. i'd like to see us gain members/machines at a rate that keeps us at high numbers in the "Move - last 24hrs." column even as we gain position. time for a weekend recruitment drive! :D
Have no fear - KaoTiK is here. :)Quote:
