Kolb has a lot of guaranteed money. I don't see them dumping him this season for any reason. I think the bet the bank on him.

They originally signed Vick for a few reasons. First, I almost think it was a charity case. Jeff Lurie is a big time philanthropist. But I also think he was an insurance policy, in case Kolb did not develop the way they wanted. Whether you, I or anyone else think he is or will be any good is irrelevant, the team and Reid in paricular is very high on him. So, with 3 Qb's all on the final year of their respective contracts, they extend Kolb. I think age has a lot to do with it due to the fact the average age of the team is like 24 or 25.
LOL...Reid changed his mind and now Vick is starting lol.
Thats gonna make a lot of fantasy owners happy. Vick is like a fantasy dream.
The thing about Vick is that he's a running QB, so him being 28 or 29 isn't good. But he's been out a couple of years where he wasn't taking hits, and he's obviously still got jets so you're right, he's got time. He can also work on developing his pocket qb skills as he sees his speed decline in the future.
I really like watching Vick though, as expected his games are usually exciting
Funny how this all played out. I don't like the giants playing vick 2 times a year, I remember when they played him 4 yrs ago or so when he was a falcon, they did a good job containing him. So I'll hang my hat on that
I heard a few radio sports guys from Atlanta saying, from a passing perspective, that the last 2 games where the best he has ever looked. Now it could all come crashing down, and I expect it too, but maybe he now has "got it"? The next few weeks could be interesting either way. If he sucks it up...now Reid has to switch back to Kolb. If not, who knows, the offense certainly has a ton of talent.
f*cking janikowski. He lost the game for the Raiders >:O Granted the 100+ yards in penalties didn't help either, he missed a 39 yard field goal, as well as two more from almost equal distances, that could have won the game for us. ***.
Although Mark Sanchez is impressive this year again as well.
yep Vick looking very good. Im still upset my 49ers didnt really consider signing him when he was willing to go anywhere.
That was ridiculous with Seabass missing those kicks, but I only blame him for 2 of the misses, one was a 58 yard attempt, so that a very low percentage kick anyway...even though he had plenty of leg it missed wide right.
Either way, the Raiders can't shake their bad habit of finding ways to lose games, which is the only thing that has been consistent with the team for the last ~7 years.
giants = team meltdown
Eagles need to take advantage of both guys being hot right now and trade one. Vick for Asomugha...get it done. Nnamdi and Asante, plus the rookie Nate Allen looking great and Quentin Mikell being a good player would give them the best secondary in football...
...One can dream, can't one?
Plus the Cowboys suck, which is always a plus. As an Eagles fan I root against all the NFCE yeams, but I do not hate the Giants, I respect them for having a pretty well run football team. I don't hate the Redskins either. But I LOVE when the Cowboys suck. They are horrible and its just great.
I could care less how Vick fairs with the Raiders, if he was traded. I bet at least 5 teams would give a 1st round pick for Kolb.
Kolb now has more 300 yard passing games in his career than Vick.
Kolb: 5 starts, 3 300 yd games
Vick: 76 starts, 2 300 yd games
Consider that one of Kolbs starts he was injured in the second quarter, and the other against the 49ers he threw for 250 yards and played very well also.
