The answer should be simple. The Eagles, regardless of Sunday’s assault on the Falcons, are a better team with Vick. This much was clear in the small sampling of games in which Vick played. He made Philadelphia’s offense more dynamic than it had been in years, dashing on long runs, forcing defensive coordinators to design special tactics just to control him which, in turn, opened more possibilities for players like Jeremy Maclin(notes) and DeSean Jackson(notes).
With Vick the Eagles are really good. With Kolb the Eagles are simply good, this even after Kolb’s three touchdown passes on Sunday and passing ratings of 103.3 (against 49ers) and 133.6 (vs. Falcons) in his past two games. This speaks to just how dominant Vick had been when he started.
Says it better than I could.
