Lesse, since I'll be cardless for a while, lemme toss these junky scores up just so I can be a lil more up there ;) (not by much)
CPU: Athlon 3200+ (Stock speeds)
Motherboard: Shuttle AN50R
Ram: 1G Mushkin PC3500 @ 200
Video Card: Sapphire x800XT @ 550/595
CPU/Gfx cooling : Both stock
3dmark2k1 : 24497
3dmark2k3 : 11510
This is with no OC on the cpu, no tweaks, no nothing except overclocking the vid card. And I can't remember if it was oced for 03.
Hrm...now that I think about it, this did void my warranty :\ But then again these 2 runs were the only time I overclocked it, and this was the first day I got it before I ran it a month at stock before the card died :(
Once the card gets back I'll put it on water -- its all ready for it now :)
Just noticed its your birthday Esch. Happy bday!
haha, thanks :)Quote:

I'ma go ahead and post some benches here. Slightly slower cpu for '03 run, slightly faster gpu in '03 run so I'll give the official format twice.

Pretty disappointing go at '01 for me. Turns out the DDR Booster just isn't something I need with this board. Anything higher then 3.6VDimm with the booster, or with my V-mod, droops badly when the RAM is under load. Makes anything higher unusable and with the new psu 3.3V rail, I can get a more stable 3.6V out of my mod then from the booster. Looks like there is some current limiting in place on the board, or more likely, a VDimm Mosfet is breaking down and letting reverse current flow. The difference between 4.4GHz with 2x512, 5:4 and the run I made is only like 200 points, so I'm not going to bother. It looks like dx9c and the 4.9betas give me another 500 - 600 points, I beat the score I'm posting with those at only 260 MHz fsb, but that still leaves me well shy of my 30k target and don't wanna start another beta driver stink around here. ;) I think I'll just sit on the 28.8k score and look ahead to my next rig.
The good news is, there is more in the tank for the card. I ran those benches at only 1.6Vgpu. I wouldn't go much higher, but as soon as 4.8 Cat's are released and FM approved, I'll push through 16k. I should be able to get a pretty good spot on page 1 of the Orb. That definately makes it worth running '03 again.
In the mean time, been loving the gaming with this card, but looking forward to some A64 goodness to get my Doom3 resolution up a bit higher. :)
too bad about 01, but that is a damn fine '03 score you have... i would love to see 16k :) i think with the new releases that just came out, i could prorbably break 15k and 32k, but i don't feel like it (still working at doom 3) so i'll just wait for my DFI board and go from there :)Quote:

Thanks man. I guess the platform shows a lot more then I expected in '01 now, even though the newer Cat's are promising I'm getting buried by you A64 guys. :) And yeah 16k'll come, just want the FM approval on a newer driver so I'm not re-running once the free bonus points are official. I haven't benched '03 passed 4.7's but I hear the .8's and .9's both boost a little more in it too.Quote:

And yes it is pretty tough to bench at all with D3 in the CD tray, isn't it? :D
even moreso for me because i'm playing doom3 on my EB (need the 1gig) so benching would mean swapping RAM ;)Quote:

lol, now see, that might be a reason to mess with my config with 30k so far away. 512 with a pretty decent 1:1 fsb runs the game fine for me, but I did like those faster load times I got last time I ran with a gig. Hmmmmm. ;)Quote:

28.8k still isnt bad for a pentium4, you have the highest non "EE" p4 score :D almost the 29k I estimated youd get too. Your actually beating my a64 in all tests too  :D
Updated! Hella score dude! So, you've got an XTPE, eh? Should have gone with one of 'em, oh well, guess I have to settle for a 6800U.:p :DQuote:

Edit : Goddamn! I'm amazed by your '03 score!
Thanks guys. Dang mikey, I'm sure the 6800u is just as good of a card, I really could have gone either way. I'm just more familiar with Ati so I stuck with them.
@ T-Bird: I know the score is nothing to really hang my head about, I was really sold on trying to get a NW past 30k though, so that's my disappointment.
Just went for a lil '03 benchy rite after some D3 action.....just for the hell of it. CPU's at stock while GPU's @455mhz/1.2ghz, score's 13420 3DMark :

Edit : Will not update my score yet as I feel 14k's within reach...mikead, you're rite about the OCZ PSU, it's great! I believe my Antec wouldn't let me finish 3DMark as it was near its limits - froze a coupla time with less OC on my card. This OCZ's another creature altogether.;)

I haven't so much as moved the sliders yet.
I've got to dig up my Vantec Tornado (and beat Doom 3) before I really crank 'er up. :)
Updated! ;) Nice start, I'm sure the GT's got plenty of juice left.:DQuote:
