You can use F@H LogStats, which can handle just one machine or all of them on a network.Quote:

Something really weird is happening to my folding stuff. I've been getting Gromacs that take a little more than 4 minutes a frame on both of my folding consoles on this machine. Today I've gotten two new Gromacs, one for each console on the machine, but both are taking ~25 minutes a frame. I haven't changed anything on the machine at all. Can anyone explain this?
How do I enable SSE again? What's the tag called? I feel like an idiot and can't seem to remember.
If you are using the 4.0 program, it is -forseSSE.Quote:

Yup, each gromac varies in complexity. Look at the point values on the project page, and you will see that they vary from 11 points to 160 points. The time per frame varies accordingly. Right now I'm getting mostly big ones -- p858 and p859, which take a LONG time per frame. Fold on!Quote:

25 minutes a frame for these new "big" workunits sounds about right for two consoles on your rig.
My dang PIII just got an 859. It's taking about 85 min/frame. Yikes.
Sweet. Thx for the link RealBeast. :)Quote:

Ok, this is not making any sense to me.
I just checked my stats at the F@H site and I have NO work units listed and 0 Active processors.
I am currently processing p695_L939_WT_Nat_444K at 57/400 (14 percent)
Please explain to me how the stats work. If I need to open/redirect a port for my server boxen to update to F@H, which ports?
I'm confused.

You use your internet connection to first download a work unit. Then for the duration that your computer is folding a work unit you don't need to be connected. When it's done you'll upload the information to F@H servers. The data is processed and within an hour or so your information on the site should be updated. You have 0 work units and 0 active processors because you have not completed anything yet, or the site has yet to update.Quote:

Got me one of those 120 point gromacs at 22 minutes per frame.
:o Well, after coming home from spring break, i installed ut2004 and defragged my hard drive. Upon next restart, i couldn't get into windows at all, i had an "unmountable boot drive" or something like that...umm...okay...total reformat.:( So now i think i'm finally folding again...:)
Anyone noticed the newer new cores?
"Folding@home Double Gromacs Core
Version 1.60 (March 15, 2004)"
"[21:01:03] Writing local files
[21:01:19] Completed 65000 out of 100000 steps (65)
[21:01:19] Extra SSE2 boost OK."
Finally something that uses SSE2
The protein is a 934.
Dunno about the points on offer though - LogStats doesn't say, even after an update.
And what's the deal with the 160's being bumped down to 120? I've been getting consistent 160 pointers on 4 of my 5 machines, but even the ones that were partway through are now worth only 120.
wow, SSE2, and it's called a double gromacs core? I've never seen that either, or is that something to do with hyperthreading...
I'm hoping it's like a double-cheeseburger, making it twice as good as a single gromacs.Quote:

Nothing to do with HT - the machine it's running on is a 2.4B P4, not OC'd. Taking around 8mins a frame (it's out of 100), but no way of knowing ho many points I get until it goes through. I'd think about 30ish.
I'll keep you posted
There are 5 of the DGROMACS, 930(47.3 points), 931(46.0), 933(49.6), 934(38.0) and 935(23.0).
Hope this helps:) :)
