i'm looking at that one kunnaak is selling for the same price... that's assembled and A64 ready. I don't know that i want to assemble the unit, not that i think it would be hard, just that i have never done it and i don't want to screw up with this chip.Quote:

eshbash's cpu is at what? 2.5 now? with phase change he may be at like 2.8 and have the highest clocked c0 ever, even Macci only hit 260x10 when he first got his 3200+ we all commented on thats a bad overclock but he wasnt worried and his next ones did like 3GHz I think ;) I say youll get 35k if you can pull 280x10, thats gonna take a bit of volts though :eek:

this score was quite a surprise: i was trying to tweak my bios a litlle turned off spread spectrum and got 19.6k overclocked a little and had 20k :P
Maybe when i return from vacations i'll aim for 21k :P

kappa 2001 u need some new ram :p
100mhz and 10 FSB are worth about 1000 points on my setup. i don't know if this mushkin will do 280 though, that might be a stretch... we'll see.Quote:

Even if your RAM won't do 280, 2.8GHz might be a little conservative. If your getting over 2.5GHz without breaking 1.55VCore on air, you've got room to go much further from phase change and volts. Prolly a couple hundred just from cooling and then whatever else the voltage increase gives you. Hopefully 2.9GHz+, but of course I don't really know first hand how these chips stretch with voltage. I know there is a wall at the end, just don't know what's in between.Quote:

My bad, I thought you ran that with a little less juice. Still, part of what basing my "2.8GHz being conservative" on is seeing a lot of the good clocking vapor cooled A64's between 2.88GHZ and a hair over 3GHz, and I know your chip is a good clocker. Hope it gets there, I know 35k is your next big milestone.Quote:

RAM used is 512mb OCZ PC4000, is it 1x512mb or 2x256mb?
GPU cooler used - Zalman, right? But what model? ZM80A-HP or ZM80C-HP or.....please specify.;)
By asking how you can check GPU speed, I can assume your VC isn't OCed, right? I've listed down the default speed of the 9800Pro for you. You can go to guru3d and DL Rivatuner, it'll show you your core and ram speed, and can be used to OC your VC.....hope this helps. Omega drivers do have OCing utility too, right?
20K completley stock is pretty good

Well, got new mobo (K8N nForce3-250Gb), CPU (K8 3700+ Clawhammer), and vidcard (6800U). WinXP HomeEdition SP2, DirectX 9.0c, latest mobo BIOS flash 1.3, drivers 5.03, and vidcard drivers 67.11. Figured out how to OC with the mobo/BIOS/CPU/memory but I'm stumped on OCing the vidcard. I've tried Coolbits and can't get over about 16.8K w/3dmark01 and 8.9K on 3dmark03. I must be missing some setting(s) on the vidcard. Searched on Google but couldn't find any decent guides. Any help appreciated.
Edit: Oh, and is there any way to reduce the number of tests required for a score in 3dmark03 and what are the required tests to get a score?

wow those are low scores... sure you have all the chipset drivers installed and everything? WinXP will be a hit, but not that much. for refrence i get 24.8k and 12k stock.Quote:

Yup, latest chipset drivers, BIOS flash, and vidcard drivers. I can't help but think I'm not using the Coolbits OCer correctly. Missing some major setting or two I'm just too dumb to notice :DQuote:
