I plan to do a pillar of the gods in the middle of the water somewhere FYI
Damn, the trees have overgrown the farm again!
I like my highway to nowhere cutting through that screenshot. :D
Btw...
You people stay up waaaay too late for me.

*Edit: Kama, what mod/skin are you using? looks pretty cool.
We should look at some of the MP mods over at Minecraft forums. There look to be some decent mods in the works.
I am currently holding onto my land stake claim until I am inspired lol.
Heh yeah the couple times I've hopped on have been after 2a.m. MTN time. Good drunk game :D I am the world's worst engineer apparently it took me quite a while to figure out how to build a massive staircase the other night. Still a progress in the works. Having to go into the mountain and dig dirt takes a goddamn lifetime.
The tree farm needs a glass ceiling or something. I harvested just over 100 blocks but I think I missed most of what was at the top due to difficulty in getting to it. I didn't burn though, if anyone else wants to try.
What about a layer of glass about 5 above the base layer, with a single hole punched out over each sapling? Think they'd grow through for multi-level farming or just all be stunted?
Couldn't we also setup like a framework over the torches with a glass wall surrounding the trees? I don't know if they will grow this way though.
This would let the trees grow while still allowing you to harvest the tall sections.
Limiting the height sounds like a good idea... Maybe to 7ish levels? That way you can farm the full height of the tree without a boost up
Taggart - that sounds like a cool idea!
I claimed some land and built a tower on it - shouldn't be too hard to figure out :-P
Monroe I have to check out your lettering next time i log on. Where is it again? I didn't see it from the spawn.
Time to reveal at least one of my plans.
First of all, I built my name with each letter being 8x8. This resulted in a lot of time spent building, but ultimately I hit the build ceiling near the top of the last "O." Also, the letters ran together a little too much. This means I had to spend a GD long time deconstructing.
Fortunately, I had also specced out my name with 6x6 letters, and running the numbers, 6x6 letters + one layer of glass between each letter hit the build ceiling EXACTLY. Awesome.

Now I only need to do this 3 more times. Once placing water actually works, hopefully for the Halloween update, I'm going to work in a water elevator on each corner, and this thing will really take off.
Also, we have 2 full blocks of diamond in the chest, + 8 lone diamonds? That's ~ 26 diamonds total. Am I the only one that actually uses the mineral? I run around with at least a diamond pickaxe and a diamond shovel (as seen above). I've been ignoring it intentionally so everybody else gets a shot at it, but damn, if we're going to rack up that many diamonds, I'm going to make a full suit of diamond armor with no regrets. :D
Stand at the bakery, and have the Sharky/AFK signs on your left. Head directly forward from there. My sign is now big enough that you won't be able to miss it. :D
Also, that's MonroeSKI, not Monroe. Get it right. :D
LMAO thats cool as hell!
From the known multiplayer bugs page: "Tools: Dropping them (e.g. by pressing Q while holding them) and picking them back up will revert their damage to zero. Probably related to the player and mob server-side health issue. Applies to all items that take damage (e.g.: Armor). "
I built a diamond pickaxe, shovel, and axe, and one of each is all I'll need at least for another week. ;)
My signs are a directional point of reference. :D
Someone with too much time on their hands should make a little MS paint (or better) map that shows approximately what is where. A generated overhead map wouldn't show the below ground stuff or who built what, I'm just thinking a quick little drawing with stuff like "monroeski's tower here", "SHARKY sign here" etc.
A lot of stuff I only know how to get to because I know where it is in reference to one other particular thing. Remove the sharky sign and then I have no idea which way to go for monroeski's tower, and from monroeski's tower I have no idea which way to go for anything except back to the main area.
(idea: maybe start with the overhead map and put some letters on it (A, B, C, etc) and then make a key of what is at each letter, and if the thing is underground explain which entrance to use to get there)
(idea2: something multiuser where all users are allowed to put pins on a map would be perfect, as long as they allow a custom map (the overhead map) instead of trying to force you to use a real life map)
I built a tower with a spiral stair case that hit the build ceiling last night. It is a tribute to William Wallace, just like his tower in Scotland :D
I need to make some signs but if you start at the beginning of Jame's road looking at the colossus and straight traveling at a 45 degree angle to the right then you should start seeing flaming wood. Keep following that until you see the tower on the hill. There is a spiral stair case in the side of the mountain that takes you up to the tower, it is marked by some torches.
