If ANYONE can get me a clip or a link of the clip when Manning was hit by those two defenders on Sunday's game against the Redskins I would love you forever...

... the hit that looked like he was almost snapped like a twig and his helmet flew off. My dad didn't see the game and I told him about it and he didn't think anything of it and then he said he heard people talking about it at work and wanted to see the hit but searching for it I can't find anything!!! I like the Colts, but that hit was CRAZY.

Ok I made the mistake of saying a "few years" back instead of a "few WEEKS" back w/ regard to when the clown from desparate househoes was in the booth. My bad and sorry for the confusion.

It's more of a "honeymoon" period for ESPN then the fact that it's just better then when it was on ABC as far as its higher ratings are concerned. QFT. I would have thought that it would be impossible to bring Emmitt Smith in on a Cowboys MNF game and make it seem forced, but they pulled it off. It's gotten slightly better since the Jamie Fox/Tom Cruise garbage, but it is still just terrible.

I usually watch ESPN, so it's convenient for me. Yes I know that but at least they interviewed Smith and Strahan last night. Whether it's a plug or not it doesn't matter that's why you have a remote; no one forces you to watch it.

It DOES matter if the discussion is whether or not the product is better now than it was. What is on other channels, or whether or not you like MNF in the first place, is somewhat irrelevant in that case.

Exactly. Why should I be forced to change the channel in the MIDDLE of the game just because these dipwads want to interview some soap opera actor (yes desperate househoes is a soap). If they want to interview him before or after then yes I can change the channel. I'm sick of the "change the channel/no one forces you to watch" bad programming arguments. That's a stupid way of telling someone that they can't complain about a product. It's a cheap plug and I think it's in poor taste. If they want to have Madden in the booth or any other NFL great in there, I'm all for it.

DO that at halftime. Show football. Talk about down and distance. Or possibly match ups. Show the crowd noise and the crunch noise. I watched some old games and the announcing really stood out. It was much better back in the day.

I like MNF the way it is on ESPN. Again people aren't complaining as MNF last night was the highest rated ever on cable.

No one said you can't complain but ABC/ESPN could care less because it's all about the numbers. People can call it a shameless plug but when it comes down to it; it's business. As a last resort you could mute the TV until whatever actor is done unless it's the Korean actress from Lost.

It's a joke and like I said I don't have a problem with the MNF. You are in the minority and no one product can satisfy everyone. The key is that the ratings are the highest ever for a cable program and the format will not change because there isn't a reason to.

I believe it's a big "success" as it's not losing money during the first quarter like they had predicted. Don't be fooled, I'll still watch it because it's football as will most of us and the complaining is limited to the 5 to 10 minutes where they have actors talking non-football stuff in the booth. Some are tolerant, some are purist. We know where some stand here now don't we.

I don't think he goes to any more teams. He either hangs it up after this year or next year with the Cowboys.

One thing I noticed with the way the game was called from the booth was that they failed to mention the way the Giants have played within the NFC east. They just talked about first place.I'd Rather see the kid from the Vonage commercial call the game than Joe Theisman.

I really only watch when it's a good game. I have dinner at a restaraunt with some people every Monday, and the game starts while I'm still there, so I always at least watch the first quarter or so on their big screen and then listen on my way home, but once I'm home it just depends on the teams and such. In contrast, I'll watch a 60-0 game between two teams I don't care about all the way through on a Sunday, because that's football day and the announcers don't annoy me very much.

Unfortunately, they're a win now team, with fans and a front office with a win now mentality. Dallas fans are almost as bad as Yankees fans in that they mostly want to have nothing to do with a rebuilding year, or a move that benefits them in the future.

your right,they MIGHT make the playoffs this year and I mean might.I could see them making a run for the playoffs and it wouldnt be a far fetched scenario.I think you will see a whole different team next week..Backup qb's never do well when thrown into the middle of a losing game.
