Honestly? No. 23k will be a breeze, though (IF the CPU OC's well). 23k is relatively easily possible with my current setup, too, but I'd have to switch to Win2K to make it easier (I hear I'd gain about 200 points). I'd then pull into less than a 100 point gap between me and 23k... So yes, 23k is possible. 24k is not.Quote:

wow nice job Ranger, but you are going to have to find a way to get that core higher, you are getting eaten in nature and dragothic. Once Xduck's new xp2500 comes in and its not a dog, he will be well over 23k, possibilly 24k if he can get the 250fsb :)

That would be difficult! 280 in sync? :eek: Not at good timings anyway, even worst timings would be hard but maybe you will get real lucky :D

a 35MHz core increase is worth 700 marks? wow that much? I gain 10 marks per MHz core on the ti4200, you gain twice that? wow! Must be the more powerful core and the faster cpu helping it scale better I guess :D
mikead_99, so close to 22k! I see you are running your ram async, that just kills performance. whats the max fsb your ram will do sync at any timings?
I am going to bite my tongue and only say nice things. I right now can run my memory at 265 1/1 using 2.85V, wanna see the benchmarks? I get almost 6500 in Sandra. Now with a volt mod I will be pushing 3.2V through the same memory. The experts over at extreme systems seem to think I will have no problems hitting 280 1/1 at 3.2V. My bandwidth will be over 7K in sandra and as we all know bandwidth is everything in 3dmark2001. For example; I scored 22708 at 271 fsb using 5/4 and 2,3,3,5 timings. With fsb set to 265 1/1 with 2.5, 3,3,7 I scored 22779(never posted it here). That's a 6 mhz fsb difference yet I scored the same.
You can not compare how your AMD system and TI 4200 card against my rig. They are totally different systems and they tweak totally different. When I apply tweaks and overclock my performance gains are very different.

They do go 2.5-4-4-7 as fast as I can run them. (DDR480 or so) Either going 1:1 or 5:4 chopped 5 - 10 MHz of my max fsb with these sticks.(XMS4000Pro) They are going back to Newegg and I'll go back to XMS3200LL's. Even at 5:4 I do better with the higher o/c. It's all moot anyway, the 3.0 I scored that with is the one I killed going for 22k. Won't try anything new until I replace it after the price drops.Quote:
