The beast is throwing down for his new team as well - 1290 per 24 hour avg, which outperforms everyone on that team. Maybe since Thermo scaled back - beast wanted to try to be number one for two teams that are both in the top 50. That task would be tough - take a while to get to the top spot for his new team, and by that time Vertices and Thermo will be way ahead - assuming that Thermo picks back up in the winter.
I'm new to this, joined under bootoo, forgive the ignorance.
I have some pentium 2's and 3's at work. Would they be of any use? I'd have to ask the IT guys to open up a firewall port I think, and I don't want to bug him if they wouldn't even be worth the trouble.
I'll set up my second home system for folding later this week but the comp's at work are just sitting there right now. The highest is a P3 450 though.

boo - simple answer: Yes, they're useful.
Pretty much anything is useful as long as it runs and has access to the internet. If you had a lot of computers at lower speeds doing folding 8 - 10 hours everyday they would chew through quite a bit.

guys, i think tinker happy days are upon us. I'm pretty sure they readjusted the point values. If you look, there's now some 200+ point tinkers out there...:eek:
I wish that adjustment would have been sooner. 71 point tinkers was about all i got for months.
yeah, on the 2 computers that I have installed folding on, both have gotten a tinker on the first one. :(

The sTinkers are getting better point counts now so it's not as undesirable to get them as before. I just wish they'd change the way they display in the log file.

The story is that I was looking for a place with some more support and decided on EOC, at first because they do the best stats, but then because they have very dedicated mods, dedicated forums, contests, and lots of excitement.
Everyone on every team that folds is a winner. We are all doing it for a great cause. And yes, my goal is to dominate EOC, hehe. I'm going to add a dual Xeon every three months to get there.

After much delay, I should be adding some workunits to contribute. Should have 2 machines running it shortly.
Now that I'm on school vacations. I had to take out the 16+ p4 2.0 at school. :( They weren't folding 24/7 anyways. But I'll be back in 3-4 weeks :D
Guys I got a question, I have been monitoring my cpu useage, and I have noticed, useage dips to like 5% like 5 times in each WU. But its always at the same point for each frame. My question, is this the program creating the checkpoint, B/C it seems not to affect my stabilty, nor my time per frame. Whats your guys take on this?
The 79 core used to do that for me as well. Try updating your FAH version as my CPU usage stays at 100% all the time now.Quote:
