what are the tags to be added for an AMD 1.3 duron?
I already have Version 4.0. It cool it seems not to affect anything and thus, I leave it be, but its weird my intel laptop dose not do this:pQuote:
Perhaps they just fixed it for Intel CPUs then...
From what I gather tinkers are good for AMDs now and double gromacs (core 79, SSE2) are good for Intels.Quote:

AMD flags should be -forceSSE
Intel flags should be -advmethods (double gromacs/no tinkers)
-forceSSE is not needed on Intel, but it doesn't hurt either.
There are also other tags that can be used, but these are the main ones for performance.

so advmethods makes it so you dont get tinkers right? well now that the point count has changed on them wouldnt i want to take this out?
Although I did get tinkers with -advmethods on... got a LOT of them actually. It probably wouldn't hurt to take off -advmethods as it should increase the chances of getting a tinker. (heh, never would have said that a month ago ;))Quote:

Like I said tinkers are good on AMD chips. Tinkers work well on Intel as well, but the double gromacs are better.Quote:

I'm just dropping by to say that my P3 900, P4 1.6, 1800+ and 2000+ are still folding and that I'm still alive:p

grrr I used to have a good folding farm, 2 2500 bartons, XP 2000, and Pentium M 1.3GHZ. Now I only have a barton [email protected] and the Pentium M:(
After my car insurance payment, mabey i add a cheap rig and use it as a server.
had the advmethods tag on my intel machine and got nothing but tinkers for almost three months.
