Looks like with 3Dmark 05' coming out Mikey is going to
be VERY busy :p
Ah hah! You forgot that Vert has to do up an entire new '05 section, he's gonna have to work harder than me......updating's a breeze compared to that. ;)Quote:

yay 518/780 stable due to my lovely blower fan:)
cpu was at
11x217
ram at 217 2.5-4-4-11
vid was 518/780
cooler on vid was zalman heatpipe and coolermaster blower
cpu heatsink is modded aero 7 lite cooler. baord is albatron kx18d pro NF2.
hopefully ill be able to do 530/780 stable with my new thermal paste which is comin soon since i have baerly none on the hs as it is. then ima get some ramsinks, hopefully 800 is possible on ram
Updated! ;) Rock on dude!:DQuote:

i think ima need to volt mod to be #1 as the #1 5900xt person mem clocks are 902, and his core was 505. He got 6600. Im pretty sure if I volt mod though that ill break 7k
what exactly is volt modding if you don't mind me asking a noob question? im new to the whole "hardcore" OCing club
Physical modifications (mostly require soldering) that allows more power to be supplied into the components that need more voltage.
where can i find a guide to do this...does it require alot of skill or materials? or is it relatively cheap and simple as long as you can follow directions...im guessing this is used when BIOS doesn't support a high enough voltage for OCing?
http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=852&s=1
for example...in the pictures at this link, i don't understand how to connect resistors...i have some lying around from a CPEG class i am taking and was wondering if i could connect them to where i am told in this page, solder perhaps..but can i take them off after i solder? i hear somethign about using a pencil but how do you messure how much resistance i have.
Also, if i do it..does the voltage automatically apply itself, even if the BIOS says otherwise?
also, how do i find the ground with the volt meter adn then how do i find the resistance...
im assuming this is what i need to do since when i overclock my card the system always freezes when i push it too high and i rarely get artifacts...but i am getting a new heatsink for much better cooling..so im guessing it just isnt'e getting enough volts...thanks for the help guys

I should be getting a cooler for the gfx card today so i hope to move my score up a few points, esp after i flash to X800 XT.

Anyone around lol? Must be a busy day for everyone haha. If someone could answer my long question from before..you guys know your genius is just dying to be let out!
Gotcha! ;) Nice lil jump in score! Bench on dude!:DQuote:

Edit : Sorry, I can't help you with such questions as I don't do modding, especially hardmods, as I'm risk averse.:o Try PMing eshbach or mikead_99, these guys are the gurus here.;)
him I just read a whole xbit performance guide on 5900xt. 5900xt standard v is 1.4 and 5950 is 1.6. The hit a max of 495 with 1.4 but when they raised to 1.6 they hit 545! They hit like 600 with 1.85. Also I should have a new 3dmark01 score up soon ^_^
The entire system needs an update. There are some errors I was working on a bit ago. Plus I would like to change it so that you can have different system specs for each bench, and also add in 2005.Quote:

I've gotta lot of work to do on the site and I'm really busy right now. Don't worry though, I'll get it taken care of for you guys.:)
Sounds Great! Thank You Vertices! :)
You're the man vertices
Thanks guys.:)
I have a proposition. I want to alter the database the design so that instead of only 1 table, there will be 3. One for each benchmark. This way we can have separate system specs for each benchmark as people often have different clockrates for each bench.
The problem is that this will give each person 3 different clockrates if they run all 3 benchmarks. This will mess up the CPU and VGA OC percentages pages.
Basically I'm thinking of ditching the CPU and VGA OC percentage pages and instead have the ability for different system specs for each benchmark.
Anyone object?
Also, does any one have any ideas or requests for the new team site? I'm already planning on ditching the horrible frames the site is held in. Linking to specific pages will then be easy.
Thanks guys.:)
only thing i can think of is a search feature...
that would probably be too much work though.
your idea sounds quite acceptable to me :)
thanks for your work.
See, I did say good old Vert's gona have lots to do. Hang in there bud, and thanks for the work.:D
Now 3DMark_05 is out, should we start a Ranking for it @ the Sharky Extreme 3DMark Team website?
Just a suggestion...
Computer Maniac :)
just had an idea:
how about a "class average" feature so people could see if their results were good/bad/average?
for instance, in "unlimited class" it would just compute the team average...
in 9800 class it would compute the average of all 9800 scores
etc.
good, bad, worthless?
That's not a bad idea. I should be able to implement it.:)Quote:

That's kind of the point in the rebuild of the site. To add 2005.;)
