I wanted to put a Prometia on the GPU but I couldn't find anyone who had a block that would adapt the Mach II onto the Radeon so I water chilled it w/Pelt?
how cold is your card getting to? see if you can use dry ice, antifreeze or anything to further lower the temps. additionally how far did the core do on air? if your core did 420 on air, then it wont have much of a chance at 500. try to get one thatll do 450+ on air then around 520 will be yours chilled :)
I've got a Prometeia on my 9800 Pro. All it takes is a little ingenuity. :)Quote:

*** are you talking about? Dry ice will freeze the water (he'd need to use pure ethanol for dry ice to work), and antifreeze doesn't lower temps... And btw, there is no way a 450 stock card will do 420 JUST on water. My card did 461 on stock cooling, up to 481 on other air (remember the aluminum brick? ;)), and 555 on the Prometeia w/vmods.Quote:

no what I meant is that his 9800 pro does 420 on air, 460 on water. If he gets one that does 460 on air, he could exceed 500 on water. and if he uses ethanol and dry ice........
Isn`t ethanol flamable.Quote:

If I`m not mistaken, the fumes are also highly flamable, you wouldn`t catch me messing with that stuff too many things could go wrong. xDUCK are you going to try it out.:DQuote:
