I give a slight nod to Drew on being the best choice to win right now, though admittedly we really haven't seen much of Romo. Drew will still give up the big play because he can't move anywhere; Romo can move around, but gives up the big play because of lack of experience. Regardless, I think the loss of ability to win now by going with Romo is made up for by giving him the experience to take into future seasons. Like I said, though, Cowboys fans in my experience hold a different opinion, in that they want the best chance to win now no matter what.Quote:

It's bench him cuz he's not mobile, it's bench him for this or that. I'd like to see how many couch potato QB's can take hit after hit and still be expected to make the perfect play everytime. better call quincy carter.
More like Ryan Leaf...
Still, Bledsoe has thrown some BAD interceptions this year, that a 14 year veteran has no business throwing whether he's being rushed or not. He holds onto the ball way too long. He never throws the ball away, though that may be since he's too much like a statue to get outside of the tackles to throw the ball away without a penalty. And also, blame for the Offensive Coordinator HAS been considered, since Parcells has already said that he is going to be taking a bigger part in the playcalling. Plus, I don't know how you can say that blaming the O-line isn't even considered, because that has been the main criticism of this team since day one. Even in the preseason, people were saying that if the line can't defend the pass Romo would get the call, even though Bledsoe is the overall better QB. All the talk has been about how Romo would eventually/did/will in the future get the start almost solely because he's more mobile and the line is terrible.Quote:

Dallas fans are fairweather fans, like charger fans - they jump ship if they aren't winning NOW.
"fans" just want anyone they feel might be ever so slightly better, bledsoe has the experience, he is the sharper QB, but he has many faults.... fans find it easy to blast bledsoe cause he is the one with the ball every play, all plays go through drew so blame him.
the only thing i'm po'ed about is T.O didn't throw drew under the bus first, I was hoping he would do that prior to the switch so he can throw 2 under the bus this year.
Heh, you're an evil man :pQuote:

Bill Musgrave, in the 4th round of 1991.
That's 2 QBs, in ANY round of the draft, over the last 15 years. Aikman was in 1989.
Geez, QBs are dropping like flies this year. Looks like Leftwich is out this week, so Garrard (sp) will get the start for Jacksonville, and Damon Huard from KC may be out, so rookie Brodie Croyle may start there. Jacksonville really didn't need another injury, they're getting killed this year, especially their D.
Jacksonville always has tons of injury problems...that really sucks for them I guess.
Lepsis is out for the year for the Broncos, this just makes the offense even worse he is a GREAT player.
I am going to the best game of the week on Sunday: Indy at Denver baby!!! yeeeaaaaa!!!
on a side note: I think Indy will win it.
eww quincy carter, thats' rought for the boys. You never know tough, romo may be the future, he's only played 1/2 a quarter and he came in when they were losing. At least give him a couple starts to see what he has to offer. You can't forget abou the weak offensive line either..........
Too bad about jacksonville, leftwiche is such a competitor. I like watching him qb
but wow snakespy, what a great game to go to. I feel like indy will win as well, but will they cover the spread, i dunno? It's definitely one of the better games of the season, you should have a really great time, I hope you enjoy it.
Yea Indy FTW. How about them Steelers at 2-4. Makes their game against the raiders pretty interesting. I'm betting romo throws 3 more pics. Undrafted guy w/ no starts under his belt after 4 years. That's not a good sign for Jones or the tuna.

Indeed. The Tuna I think is losing it.Quote:

Apparently, the play was supposed to go to the right, where they had three receivers; He missed one TE that was blatantly wide open, as well as the other one he was about to be wide open (the third receiver was TO, who was double covered and not open). Bledsoe instead threw to Terry Glenn (I think) on the left, and the pass looked like it was thrown more to the defender than to the receiver.Quote:

Coupled with a complete lack of any ability to avoid the rush through their porous O-Line, that's a big problem. I think Bledsoe has just had too many REALLY badly blown plays this year, and Parcells was sick of it.
I think that he just totally misjudged how much Jerry Jones likes to have his hands in everything. JJ is the one really running the show. You will never be able to convince me that Parcells wanted to spend money on TO instead of on an offensive line.Quote:

I wasn't surprised about Romo replacing Bledsoe at all. If you live in Texas and listen to the coverage here, you would think the change was overdue. The fans here have been wanting for this to happen since the season started.
As I said, it wasn't just one mistake, he has been making similar mistakes all year long.Quote:

What Drew obviously didn't see was that the defender was more to the front of the receiver as well as inside, giving him a great angle to cut the pass off, which he did since he reacted to Drew looking to Glenn. Now there's no way in hell you could convince me that the pass was anything but a bad decision. It's just as a former QB (high school) I could understand why he made the throw based on that split 1/2 second read, but I can't justify why he still threw the ball where he did. Romo, on the other hand had two completely TERRIBLE throws. The first int wasn't really his fault as it was tipped at the line. The next one I'm not sure how in the hell he actually thought he could throw the ball to Jones as there were three guys right there. The last pick he threw was into no man's land. I'm assuming he thought the receiver would cut to the outside instead of the inside. I'm curious to see how the media and hard core dallas fans spin it for romo if he has another poor performance. I've heard the argument that he wasn't prep'd for the game and it's hard coming in cold blah blah blah. You could say the same for the Giant's D that they weren't prep'd for him either. All their tapes were on Drew. I think the tuna screwed up by letting romo play last week if nothing else that now the panthers have some tape of him to work with. Parcells let his emotions get in the way, that's when you know he's done/cooked.

From what I can remember, if the guy that was right in his face hadn't tipped it, there were like two more guys who would have. Shouldn't have thrown that one.Quote:
