I am not missed, but life goes on. Forums are nicer without me and all the flaming of being a Intel lover or whatever.
Nice to see some old names are still around.
Awww....big C, you are missed around here bud. Try to keep it to a bare minumum of at least 2 posts a day, willya? :)Quote:

Edit : +1, OpStar, my posts are very constructive too....:p :D
It's hard being an intel lover around here these days. I just can't wait for intel to wow me with a new CPU.Quote:

Seeing that this isn't your best yet, plus you haven't listed your specs......I believe you don't want an update yet. Will be lookin' forward to your final score, then I'll do the update, OK? :)Quote:

After having the GT and XTPE card, I can say the XTPE card is better card. Either I got a broked card, but my GT could not do any aa or af at 1600-1200, and my PE card can get 4xAA and 8AF quilty and get slighty higher fps. Not sure, but the X800Pro soft modded into a XT PE card is the best buy right now for highend cards
congras on "almost" 28k can you set your timings to 3-2-2-x? ras-cas2 should gain you a couple hundred marks also can you oc the ram on your x800xt any higher? has it been vmodded? Is your cpu maxed out? a note of caution on modding x800pros, I am seeing people lose theirs left and right. I hope yours doesnt die soon :(
I think 29K or 29.5 is in my reach. My card core is modded but memory is not. I want to mod the memory, but I am not sure how to, most guides jusrt show the the pins but not how to use grabbers ect... IO am gonna pick up a PSU for my Booster and see if I can not get some tighter timings and higher overall FSB. Only running 225FSB at lax timmings, but I am really hurting b/c of my stupid 9 multi. I knew I should have got the 3000 I just was not thinking:p
Until the card dies.Quote:

I just can't see spending 400 bucks on such a risky mod.

I agree, but let me tell you this, its a risk to mod the x800pros but not the 6800nu? I hope your aware that 6800nu to GT mod is just as risky with many dieing, dont go raving the 6800nu mod without also telling them the risks, including dead cards
I'm done with mods. I blew a 9700Pro and a 9800Pro. The mods worked great until I got too overzealous. No more for me thanks.:)
I'm running a little behind on the site guys. I'll probably get it done this weekend.
I've had a boatload of network emergencies this week, plus it's my birthday tomorrow!
Although the age sucks, it's my last twenties year, I'll be 29 tomorrow. Jeez I'm gettin old.:( :D:)
vert,
making two posts in a row to try to get to 5000 quicker?
:p
happy birthday in advance... you doing the site is a big favor to everyone here, so don't worry if your personal schedule delays it a bit :)
on the topic of modding... well... you all know where i stand :)
even though the only mod in my system right now is the vcore mod on the X800XT-PE.
Damn I've been had!! You are on to my trail!!:D:DQuote:

Opstar is right, Even with my Atric Rev 4 cooler, I was not able to keep temps under controll, thus I am un did my pencil mod and again are running stock PE speeds again. 01 only showed 500 points jump, 3-4 FPS max. So I rather my card live than die and see 430$ gone:)
The 6800NU to 16/6 mod is 100% software and 100% reversible.Quote:

Its just like overclocking, testing it and seeing artifacts and then backing it back down.
You are referring to the old way when people were flashing 6800NU with GT and Ultra bios' edited to run slower clockspeeds. THAT did kill cards.
I'm not talking about that.
so why not do the same software mod for the x800pro instead of flashing it to an xt?
Because the rivatuner mod is for nVidia cards?Quote:

I softmodded my 9500np to a 9700(pro) using rivatuner.....
