wow that is some pretty crappy w/c hehe :) i'm assuming its 1/2 id so you should still get decent temps. you can uninstally DX9 once u install it so you'd have to reinstall windows, you might wanna try that if you have a spare hard drive. also run without a desktop background and set your videocard to 256 colors because that takes up video card memory. ALso to get a bit more performance goto control panel , click system , and then click advanced and set your visual effects to best performance. hope it helps

OK, time for some updates. I gotta say, I'm disappointed as hell I can't get BH-5 to run on this setup. Tried 2 mobos, so it could well be the cpu mem controller. Right now, this is about the best I've got. I do have a little left in the cpu, but this pair of mem tops out at 270 MHz and moving up a multi hurts too much. I had a much better set of RAM that I sent back to OCZ to have the spreaders applied properly, since the first set didn't stick and the a**holes sent back a worse set instead. Hopefully that will be resolved.

Very nice deal with PC ICE! I wouldn't be surprised if you did catch me with your s754 rig and -80C. If you get FX with that, you'll bury me no matter what my mem does. :) Sounds like my TCCD mem issue will get fixed, gotta love the OCZ reps. Still have to figure out what-the on the BH-5. One board gives me up to 215MHz with them, the first only 205MHz, but seeing the deviation, along with some of the other board quirks, still makes me wonder about MSI and QA as much as I wonder about the on-die controller. Still hoping DFI gets an AGP s939 board out soon.

Yup, didn't do a thing for me. The issue isn't HTT, just a mediocre set of RAM. I'm glad I posted results in the OCZ4200 thread at XS when I was testing the first set out....they are going to try to match results and replace. :D Cherry-picked RAM!!!! Not that my first set didn't seem like they weren't.

Thanks Kappa! Thought I might get there (40k) when I started this run, not even sure I can with better RAM right now though. FX-55, 3.2GHz+ and 1.8V+ brings a Mach 1 to it's knees!

You've definately helped show me the light with TCCD. Great stuff for 24/7. Can't wait to see what -80 does for you. Where my cooling is kind of reaching it's limit on heatload handling, you are going to be good to go with .09 FX's, dual-cores, you name it. I'm jealous. ;)

omg nice score mike! you might have 39k if bh5 worked but your score is nothing to scoff at, just amazing! eshbach may beat you once he gets a fx57 but thats 5-6 months from now yea he should easily hit like 45k or so. Youll probably be sharky team champ for those months :D

eshbach and JetForce Gemini X: I like eshbach's thinking on the Mach 1. My whole thing was that I was going to upgrade the cooling before my next cpu, it just didn't work out that way. Now that I splurged the way I did, any cooling changes are at least a few months out.

Hum great score. I am thinking of dabling in a pelt. But would it just be best to go straight to phase with a used mach 1, and a smaller loop with a 172 watt pelt on my X800XT PE?

the 3.3v rail is getting modded tomorrow. All i have left in 10k VR's is a 50v .1w... i hope that's ok.

mikead_99... i will be on the east coast over the summer... if you want we could hook up your mach I to whoever's gpu is better and my cascade to whoever's CPU is better and try for a big score as Team Sharky Extreme or something.

I think you'd be btter off getting a custom phase change system built on xtremesystems since it'll probably cool better than a mach 1 for the same price

.1W is a little low, but the sense line is the perfect place for a low wattage resistor, there is virtually no current through there. Also a 10k will make it touchy, be careful when adjusting it. If it is your old Antec that you are modding you only need a 1K. (Less ohms per turn, less touchy) Feel free to pm if you need help, tips. Been there, done that.

And yeah dude, a combo bench sounds fun. Phase on both parts would do us right I think.

Vengance_01: Pelts aren't a bad way to cut your teeth on sub-cooling, but probably wouldn't be great with loads. My gpu pelt wilts with high V and clocks, and eshbachs cpu pelt did the same. JetForce Gemini X is right from a performance standpoint, but if you did buy a commercial unit, Vapo is probably better for the installation. Prommie cpu kits are a pita.

and while you are it, get dual channel and 3GHz and smash 24k :D wonder what your car high would be, probably 120+ under win2k this is higher than many a64s :eek:

23.5K is enough for this system i used to be at the top 5ish a couple months ago maybe its time to go A64 to catch up and we all know i'm the biggest athlon xp mobile fanboy :eek:
