well 3.3v rail mod was a bust. did it wrong the first time, didn't work (3.36v max), tried it again, power supply wouldn't turn on. i think the the problem may have had something to do with the extra-small, super cheap VR i was using. oh well, the power supply is back to normal working order and i have an ocz 520w and a booster on the way. :)
To bad it didn't work out for you, but I think you are better of this way anyway. :cool:
well under the advice of a few, I will have a custom Phase change unit comming and will pelt(80 watt to start) my X800XTPE. thrid place here I come;)
i must warn you however that once you go sub zero there is no turning back... its just too hot above zero;)

hehe i got it up pritty high but i have had to trade my ability to hear to achieve it lol
I have seen people with much better overclocks on the Video card. I cant seem to get my core speed above 517, any tips on how to improve this?
the VGA silencer should help a bit and you can also get it vmodded or do it yourself which will also raise your clocks a bit
Yup, cooling goes a long way on these cards. V-Mods will take you even further, but don't even bother with the V-mem mod unless you do the VDDQ mod along with it.

alot of x800pros wont do 520 stable since this is x800xt speeds and ati speed binned those to pros not because of bad pipes but failing to do xt clocks. Thus is why some x800pros mod to xt but those that do, almost every one I see barely overclocks. One guy couldnt oc the core at all! memory oc matters more anyway and yours at 570 isnt shabby at all for 2ns, this is only 10-20MHz less than what I see alot of x800xts do on the 1.6ns ram. If you vmod, its a risk to a $400 card when it can already run any game without mods. for something slower like a ti4200 or 9500, its warrented, that and a slip up is far less costly. congras again Mike, I was browsing the orb and your on front! when fx57 and r520 come out you may make the front again at like 45k marks :eek:

Any Sharkeys going to get the OCZ EL PC-3200 VX when it comes out?
thought about it... doesn't look as good as 256mb BH5 sticks for becnhing or a gig of TCCD for gaming... would be good if you just wanted one set of mems though.Quote:

I like my TCCD for gaming but it sucks for benching -i must have gotten some of the earlier stuff. If i can run cas 2.0 and ras-cas 2 i'll be able to break 30k AND have decent gaming mem.Quote:

uh the only timing that matters is ras-cas delay and command rate for a64s. cas matters zilch. Youll need dangerous volts if you get bh5 which is even worse for 24/7 usage. however you can score some more recent tccd and try for something like 260x10 :D very nice score for only 2.47GHz you own me in all tests except car high
