Why that? You need a powerful server?
Well I love power :D
And I was thinking of getting that to replace with my #3 which has a 2.66Ghz setup in a Gigabyte KNXP board overclocked to 3.2Ghz...
Now with a REAL SMP setup with HT on each.. That is technically a 4way setup :D
*snaps* A while back Voodoo 5500 got an Itanium off ebay for like 30 bucks, maybe you can experiment and see if you can get one that price and get a mobo and get that working :D
Im not Thunderbird, I dont use ebay and I rather buy my hardware new :)Quote:

Buy my two Prometeia's, Colossus. I am selling. :) I'll give you a deal for the two of 'em!
Do I get the same deal like you? Buy one get one free? :D
What are you asking for the new one anyway?
EDIT:
So far I am getting....
Plextor 8x DVDRW or Pioneer 4x DVDRW
APC 1000VA UPS
Logitech MX DUO
The rest I am not sure :(

could you tell me how to enable dual channel:confused:
Just have each stick of memory in a different bank :)
I believe that motherboard is color coded memory banks... So drop a DRR in 2 of the same colors :)
Such as BLUE, BLUE or BLACK, BLACK, etc etc
thanks
i'll try it right away :D
Actually, most boards require you to have it in one of EACH channel... So leftmost black, leftmost blue... Or rightmost black, rightmost blue... Or if you only have 3 slots, then the 2 on the edges. I know that's what all the mobos I've worked with want. ;)
I'm assuming this was decided on based on cooling (might as well space them out if you've got the option).
We are talking about Intel here now AMD :DQuote:

Intel goes for color matching.. Atleast that is how the numerous Springdale and Canterwood boards I have setup are :)
Well, IIRC, the P4C800-E Deluxe wants 1 & 3, 2 & 4... ;) But I could be wrong. Anybody confirm this?Quote:
