Ryder have you tried the Ricky tweak he used to break 40K?

Dang you are close! Do you overclock your AGP bus? If not you could add a few points by maxing that out. Have you gone in and tightened up all the additional mem timings in your bios? Getting those as tight as possible are worth a couple hundred points, if you aren't already optimized.Quote:

A64 tweaker,i guess i'll try tightening up timings in bios also.
On my card I run pretty 72 MHz pretty much 24/7. I might push for more if I ever need just a few points, but ATI is said to not handle high AGP as well as nVidia. I'd just increment it until you see problems. I would bet you can get quite a bit over where I run it.Quote:

Just wondering too, are you using Fast Writes? Everybody and their mother says to disable that to improve your o/c stability, so a lot of people do it right off the bat. I have never had it hurt me, but I do get a few points from leaving it enabled. I always try disabling it when I am at the top of my o/c to see if it is the hold-up, it just hasn't affected my overclocks.

I finally got my BH5 going on one of these Neo2's. Still kinda sucks...I can run 270x10 2-2-2-5 all day long, 270x12 is a whole 'nother story though. Had to do 250x13 instead. Now that I know my cpu's mem controller isn't crapping on my BH5, I'm still not too sure this board isn't limiting my o/c, but whatever. Here's '01:

Thanks eshbach, you know I don't want to make it easy, but I might be standing still a while now. This board and/or cooling are making 40k a tall order. My gpu clocks too low and I am at a hard limit with 3.25GHz. Who knows? I might get tempted to sell my AGP XT-PE and VIVO board, along with my MSI's if anything NF4 looks (a lot) better then the NF3 s939 crop. More then likely I'll be sitting right here though.Quote:

....Nope, for my processor speed I'm doing pretty good. There is only 1 guy over 40k with less then 3.3GHz+ on the cpu, but he's got my gpu by 125 MHz and more V-mem too...and a little more cpu/mem speed. I'm pretty much giving it up for now, unless I find a way to get more clcoks out of anything. But trust me, my stuff's screaming at me from what I've put it through to get where I am.

I cant break 20k :mad: I can bump proccesor up to 2.5 but that only nets me like 250 more points. Will different drivers get me more points?
BH-5 should be able to get much higher than 200 fsb

mikead is sending his unit to pc ice to get it R507 modded with a vapo evap i think. and sabrewolf PC4000 is gonna be horrible on a NF2 board since timigns is what matters on these boards so try to get some better BH-5/6
Thanks TB, and I agree, 100 MHz would be about right. lol, still the 2nd MSI, and some old Mushkins I've been trying. After seeing both sets of Dimm slots suck in the first board for BH5, and the first set of slots on this board suck, I didn't expect the 2nd set to do any better so didn't hurry to try Dimms 3 and 4 out. I finally moved the Booster to Dimm2 and the Mushkins to 3 and 4 and that was it, there they went.....flaky boards man, totally. The funny thing is, the worse the slots are for BH5, the better they seem to do for my TCCD's and vice versa, just messed up stuff with these boards.Quote:

And yeah, I may go ahead and get this prommie mod'ed now. I'm not sure that would get me those 100MHz, but the FX-55 puts a hurting on it now when it's over 3GHz, and I know my next cpu, whatever it is, is only going to be harder on it. Trying to decide if I should do it now or nearer to my next upgrade though. Dang holidays! :D
