Yes its about time to move from the ti4200 class to the 9700 class where I am first place there anyway ;) and im what? 15th overall? man 9 marks behind Jetforce, I guess I need another run, I can easily get 20 marks more :eek: :p Ill beat you Jetforce! :D well till you get a Venice, Jetforce :eek:

you got moose in both dragons and nature though ;) thanks for updating my score :D I am 9 marks behind Jetforce whos 19th place but hes probably gonna get 23.5k or more with the new 2600+ hes getting. ah well once I get a Venice, ill be a mile ahead with a slower gpu :p Do you think I can get close or even beat your score, Mike? :eek: :cool:

Ive got a little trick up my sleeve that should be bringing in new scores in a month or so. gotta love having a job, with nothing to buy but hardware.
I didnt really do ricki tweak, or anything. I should do it next time. Im also going to try a run at 240x11, for 2640 rather than 250x10. Perhaps on thursday when i dont have work.
its pretty common to have a 2600+ @ 3 ghz or at least 2.9ghz with phase change. With a decentcpu , u can do it under 2vQuote:

darn i was hoping for a IQYHA from newegg but instead got a IDYHA but thise 2600+ is doing 2.85 ghz stable and i'll need more than 2v to get to 3ghz but i can probably run 24K in 01 now at 2.9 ghz

That one is barely better than your 2500+ moble that did 2.8GHz in your sig. By the way your gonna need win2k for sure if you want any chance of breaking 24k since your 23.1k score was with winxp. Good luck breaking 23.5k(with xp) and 24k(with 2k) also keep in mind you got a considerable gpu advantage over me. For fun, I ran my 9700 at 325/310 instead of 410/325 and I hit 20.6k but I am :eek: why I am losing 2500 marks with lower gpu clocks, I was expecting to get like 21.5k or so. If this is so, I could probably hit 25k minimum with your gpu clocks, id have to search the orb, gimmie a min.

Ok this gpu clocks is similar to yours looking at nature. also hes using the latest drivers like me. Its not my fault his cpu tests suck for his cpu clocks, he probably has an old school newcastle and winxp. were tied in car high but I got him in both lobbies. Thus its safe to say id be at 25.5k or so. This is the point where I would be close to maxed out and any higher gpu clocks from there on wouldnt really help except in nature. I maybe might hit 26k on the best air cooled 9800xt in the world but mid 25k is a safe bet based on his score. My gpu clocks still isnt much of a bottleneck but itll become a bit of a bottleneck when I get a venice, still I expect about 26k with it. You gotta keep your cpu and gpu power in balance, if one or the other is alot faster then you got a bottleneck

I think that score was with the xt bios.
But my clocks are not even NEAR yours.

The difference in the runs is 2x512 VX vs 2x256 BH5 and Cat 6497 vs 6490.....and MSI vs Epox.
I'm wondering if this board has "Gigabyte-itis". The K8NXPs gave slower Drags than the MSI, seems like I'm seeing the same thing here. I'm just doing some baseline testing atm, but will be making a push at 41k+ in the next couple of weeks. (It'll take that long to have a nice bench session timeframe open for me, busy as s*** atm) I'm just wondering if I'll need to go back to the MSI for this push. I never ran the VX or the 6497's on the MSI, so I don't know how much of the car and lobby boosts are from them, not the board, but I can't get the Drag's up on the Epox. Any tips?
The Epox is great for 24/7, but points are points you know. ;)
have you done a bh5 run on the epox to see if it's the VX making that difference in lobby/car?
if the VX is helping your score then it sounds like MSI + VX would be the way to bench.
Yeah, I did a BH5 run with 270x12 (the above are 250x13), but with 6490's. Had hurting Dragons with that as well. Probably the combo of VX and 6497's boosting cars and lobbies, I just want to get to the bottom of the dragons though. It seems to be something with fastwrites. If I turn them off I do loose some points, but nothing like I lose on the MSI (or DFI in the past). I've tried different GART drivers, disabling FW in bios then enabling in OS with Rivatuner, a couple of other things too. It seems like on this board (and probably the Giga) the implementation of FW is different. Since FW makes AGP look like a mem address range to the cpu (that is how it works, right?) I'm thinking with an o/c maybe they divide the write speed, or maybe smaller write block size, something like that. I'd love to find a sw way to correct this though, it's 400+ points I'm missing out on if I could match my earlier dragons. Maybe companies that implement like this should call them "moderatewrites", lol. :p
*sigh* Guess I'll have to dig up the MSI and see here.
