This was a very enjoyable series, Detroit had the more experienced team and it showed. The officiating was bad on both ends, there was no secret agenda from Bettman or anybody else. I expect whining from Ranger (losers) fans not from Detroit, you won.
If you want to whine about something whine about not having enough fans to fill the seats, when you have the best team in the NHL.
As a Pens fan I still enjoyed watching the wings tape to tape passes out of their own end to start a rush and the fact that at times it looked like there were 8 wings on the ice when the pens were trying to enter the offensive zone.
Crosby does not complain any more than Draper or any other of the Detroit players that get penalties called or not called. Every time people criticize him their jealously shines through and they make themselves look like they have personal self esteem issues. He is a great kid and deep down everybody wishes they had him on their team.
Congrats and I hope we have a rematch next year. I love hockey in HD when I can't get to the game.
Every Pens fan says that stuff. Actually...if he did play for Philly, he'd have Mike Richards and Jason Smith getting on his *** every time he feigned an injury or acted like a spoiled little girl. He'd be forced grow up and be his own man, rather than Lemieux's daughter. He did seem to tone it down this post season, so there's hope for him yet.Quote:

You haven't actually followed this thread, have you? I'm not miserable at all, I'm very proud of my team for getting as far as they did. Most Flyers fans feel the same way. We know we're set for the next decade, and have a lot to look forward to. Meanwhile, your team turns into the Tampa Bay Lightning (but minus the Cup).

Yeah I was going to the Igloo when it was empty too, I used to pay 11 bucks for a ticket and sit right in front of the glass. The difference was we stunk, you guys have the best team in the NHL. A lot of players pay lip service to how their team is the best run organization. Just last year I had to listen to the nauseous drum of Ducks players saying how theirs was the best run team in hockey.
Back in the day when Edmonton lost Cujo to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Cujo said that Toronto was a firstclass orgainzation and that he'd end his career there. 5 teams later and we all know that was BS.
Edmonton was supposed to have one of the most tightly knit teams in the NHL... with players doing personal activities together in their time off... riding snow mobiles and such. I used to think that was something special. Now I think that most teams will make that claim.

Least you guys have hockey teams. Know what the "official" hockey team of Wisconsin is? Chi-town Blackhawks, unless you live on the west side of the state, where you might find some Timberwolves stuff. I hate walking into a sporting goods store and seeing Blackhawks crap.
