Yes... win2k runs better on an AMD cpu as opposed to an Intel cpu. IF you are going to be shooting for high marks on an AMD cpu... stick to 2000 PRO with SP3 :).

Be careful about the 30 day thing. I think Best Buy has a 14 day return on computers and related stuff. 30 days on anything else. Just a heads up:)

Decided to try 3DMark2001 with the plain vanilla Dell build after doing the 3DMark03 test.
I scored 12,551 and was about to throw a brick through my monitor when I remembered I had forced 4xAni and 4xFSAA in my settings last night. Sooo.. turned that off, and got 17,331. Actually not running plain vanilla, Radion 9800 Pro is running at 342/382.5. Other that that:
Intel 875P Mobo
P4 - 3.0GHz (not OC-ed, nor will it ever, thanks to Dell)
1GB 400MHZ SDRam
Ati 9800 Pro 128MB Video
200GB Ultra ATA HD

You definitely have 30 days to return PC components to bestbuy. I know this for a fact. ;) It's only on WHOLE PCs that they limit you to 14 days.
That paintgun I was selling went for $825 w/shipping. Not bad. So I gots another $825 to blow on PC parts when I get home. :)

I'm definitely getting a D1 chip. Not sure yet what speed. I haven't had time to get online and realy see what kind of OCs people are getting with the new chips. Anyone else? I'm wondering how those 2.8s are doing.:)
I was thinking I would get a FX 5900 Ultra as well. Not sure though. I'm not realy sure what else I'm getting at the moment. I was hoping WD would come out with a larger Raptor drive so I could pick one of those up too.:)
