So, Blue, hows the farm coming along? Any luck?
wOOt, 80,000+ club!!
man, vertices and realbeast, you guys have been crankin... but I have to say that rdouglass has just been powering like nobodies business. Always strong, but lately you've been on the war path. Good stuff man.
Way to go team. Need more members though!
3 of 4 boards are screwed in one way or another. Seller dragged their feet on the insurance and I dragged mine on double-checking everything. Got 1 board folding for me and am troubleshooting the rest as I get time.Quote:

Ouch. sorry to hear that. Well, one is better than none. Hopefully you can get the others fixed.Quote:

We now have an all-time low of active members. Just 72 of us still going and that's with the new guys who have recently signed up. 260 Sharks initially signed up. We all, more or less, have fast machines. Many of us more than one. Come on people! We are about to lose 43rd spot to some team with only 113 active users. You can game while folding, websurfing, writing email or researching homework. Why have you all stopped? :(
Looks like all that Ford-driving went to you head. OOPS! :)Quote:

I still just have my 2.6C (currently around 2.8GHz). I was thinking about getting a lappie (which would have been a folder whenever plugged into AC), but now I'm getting one from work. Hopefully I'll get uncheap enough to put together a cheap little backup rig this winter - an A64 3000+ would make a nice little folder, no? I haven't kept up on K8 folding performance...
Because my computer is currently sitting 1000+ miles away from me in some boxes.Quote:

Hello... newbie here... how/where do i configure the client to set the
-forceasm -forceSSE ?
thank you guys.
Right-click the F@H folder within Startup and left-click Properties. Add the tags on the end of the Target line. Make sure to include spaces. Welcome to the team. :)Quote:

thank you :)
now... what is it they do?
(the tags... the folding thing i pretty much got it)
;)
Hey BlueOval, I haven't been watching too closely, but I see that you have definitely moved up on the production scale. Number 9 for the team, very nice! My production is slipping do to some of my computers being down due to heat, connectivity, and location. I now only have 7 going. I had a mighty 16 at one point. Oh well, you come and go... at least I am still trying unlike a lot of the members we lost. Perhaps a contest is in order? Might boost sharky folders?
I'm not too sure myself, but welcome to the team. I know there is a link on the f@h page that lists what the tags are for. check it out.Quote:

If I remember, I might find that link for you tomorrow. I am tired and must go to sleep. Later.
-foreasm I believe forces an AMD chip to run 3DNow! extensionsQuote:

-forceSSE forces an AMD chip to run SSE extensions provided the chip in question has the capability
-advmethods I can no longer recall and no longer use as it was mentioned a while back that using it since Stanford adjusted the way points were tallied may hurt your production
-verbosity 9 just adds added info to the log
That's an idea. Anything to boost production and/or get more people involved. Although with the top 5 responsible for over a third of team points per day I'm not sure how you'd structure a contest.Quote:
