Looks like he's only put up 300 yards on two good passing defenses, KC & Denver. Of course he also threw 2 picks in that Denver game.
I'm not saying Favre is washed up. He is a good quarterback who has played a lot of bad teams and defenses and his numbers are deceiving. If he puts up big numbers against the Raiders (#4 passing def) and the Rams (#12) then I will quit my argument. Until then, label me "unconvinced." Seriously, what's the best team he's beat so far? The 7-4 Giants? The 6-5 Chargers? Sorry, I'm not impressed.
What are the stats on the other teams he's played against, and what are their rankings? How many rush yards did they get in those games, and what were the opposing team's run defenses ranked? A comparison of one stat (passing yards) against only about 2/3 of the schedule doesn't really say too much, to me anyway.Quote:

Also of note - heard a guy on the radio today (Sean Taylor's good friend and lawyer, or something like that) who was talking about the break-in. Apparently, they were asleep when they heard noises outside. Sean gets up to go lock the door, and grabs some kind of knife or machete on the way. Before he gets there, the guys bust in the bedroom, firing two shots (one in the leg, one missed). The girlfriend (fiancee?) hid under the covers with their 18 month old, and didn't see the assailants, though I think he mentioned there were likely multiple. The phone lines were NOT cut, though they were out of commission for some reason. This didn't have much effect at all, though, as she just picked her cell phone straight up and made the call from there. Ambulance was there in minutes.

Well I was pointing out the 300 yard games since someone else mentioned those and I list passing defense because that would be the most relevant when evaluating how a QB performed against that defense. Not meant to be comprehensive, just a quick analysis.Quote:

I am not blown away by Romo either. I think the Cowboys' offense has an edge on the Packers' offense because they have had success running the ball all season as opposed to the Packers, who have only had recent success with the run. The teams are extremely close though, because the Packer's D is phenomenal.
As for the Giants... I don't think they'll never win a championship with Eli (Fredo) Manning. I think Manning lacks the confidence and presence to lead a team and makes too many bad decisions. I think the rest of their schedule will expose the team's flaws.
