I wasn't using the stats to compare him to Romo, everyone keeps misinterpretting my argument.

Yes, he lit up bad defenses and that's what he's supposed to do. On the other hand, it doesn't impress me. Only a couple of those wins are somewhat impressive because he's faced so many bad teams. Same for Romo. If Favre lights up Dallas and wins that game handily then I'll be impressed. Until then, unimpressed and unconvinced of Favre resurgence.

Look, my argument was not comparing Favre to Romo. I was also not comparing the Cowboys and Packers. Or using the Giants at all. I am simply saying that I am not that impressed by what Favre has done and I think it is more a factor of playing a lot of mediocre teams/defenses than returning to "elite" quarterback status.

I am not blown away by Romo either. I think the Cowboys' offense has an edge on the Packers' offense because they have had success running the ball all season as opposed to the Packers, who have only had recent success with the run. The teams are extremely close though, because the Packer's D is phenomenal.

As for the Giants... I don't think they'll never win a championship with Eli (Fredo) Manning. I think Manning lacks the confidence and presence to lead a team and makes too many bad decisions. I think the rest of their schedule will expose the team's flaws.

At no point did I say you were comparing him to Romo, or comparing the Cowboys and the Packers, or talking about the Giants. I, however, was doing all those things. ;)

Just like with the 300 yard game comparisons, I was just saying that I don't think that the quick analysis really says all that much. I wanted to throw somebody else in there, and Romo was the obvious choice since they're playing this week, they're on the two best NFC teams, and people have been comparing Romo to Favre since he first took over for Bledsoe. The Giants thing only came up after I looked at Dallas and GB's schedules and realized the Cowboys played and beat NY twice.

I'm cheering for Green Bay, but I just don't think they make it happen this week. Injuries + playing at Dallas doesn't add up well for them imo.

Also, No matter what the Pats have been doing all year, I just can't bring myself to bet on an NFL team winning by more than 20.

Sean Taylor, definitely too coincidental... like spank_me said, repeated attempt....he wasn't home the first time so the person left a knife on his bed, a calling card, to say "I'll be back, you will die"....they come back and cut the phone lines, then kick in the door and shoot him dead...this was not random, he was targetted, by who....who knows if we will ever find out.

sure you could say it was a random burglary, cut the phone lines so the alarm system wouldnt go off...but alarm systems go off if the lines are cut, so that doesnt make sense, this was deliberate....if it was a random burglary they would have gone in and took whatever they wanted while everyone slept...no, this person went to HIS bedroom and shot HIM... I don't want to assume anything, but we may find out in the coming weeks that this guy was running with the wrong folks and he got the horn, drugs, gangs, something.

to kick in his door means they came for him, no burglar kicks in a door...if it's locked that means someone is in there, if you proceed then you are going in for more than taking stuff... but they kicked it in! probably to surprise him "BAM" he jumps up out of bed in surprise - POP, POP, POP shots to his torso....they probably didn't expect him to already be up and waiting.

Yeah NFL network sucks if you dont have it. We have it on our cable package plus its being broadcast on local TV so ill be watching GB stick it to Dallas :D

Just go to a nice sports bar and watch it. Order up some wings and a brew and hit on the nearest female.

Not making picks this week just becaues I don't give a rats ***. I know I want Indy to win this game coming up on Sunday. HUGE game for both teams.

I'll go with Dallas for a win, not for the spread. Such a toss up, but since its at Dallas that may help things along.

I took Oakland because they just did beat KC.

AND, Oakland *should* have beat Denver in Denver in their 1st meeting. And this time, it's in Oakland.

I have taken Oakland in the past just off who I want to win. But I actually think that they'll win this one... or at least meet the spread.

Who the hell are these players in the white jerseys? They sure as hell aint the 10-1 Packers of 2007. These are the 4-12 from a few years ago.

Their pass defense is gone, they arent stopping the run when it matters. Theyre leaving every receiver not named Owens open by a mile, and letting Owens make important catches regardless. Also didnt like the old Favre in the first half throwing shitty passes left and right.

It looks like the Packers changed their entire gameplan to play Dallas instead of playing the good football theyve been doing all year. "Oh no its the 10-1 Cowboys, lets change our entire playstyle to beat them!"

While this will prolly be the only game the Pack will lose heading into the playoffs, they better pray to God all their starters will be healthy if/when they meet Dallas for the NFC championship. Hopefully GB will learn from tonites game for next time.

Only bright spot is Rodgers stepping in for Favre. Least hes proving a capable backup.

Charles Woodson being out really hurt. Too many injuries. Bad gameplanning on offense, and Dallas took advantage of all of it and executed well.

Al Harris was getting dominated by TO.

Looking forward to the weekend, should be some good football!

all I can say is it will be dallas/NE superbowl... Moss v.s T.O...who wants the ring more? both are old and both have been pretty good throughout their careers, except moss who plays only when he gets TD's. I think T.O has more heart, is more physical and wants it more....Moss relies on his speed and height, he doesn't even run routes anymore.... it's 3 flies up with him, run and jump, I think it MAY be possible for dallas to beat NE but it's pretty unlikely. NE over Dallas 31-24

the rest of this season is just delaying the inevitable.
