I back! And boy am I stuffed!!!!
I noticed the WU's I have been processing with the other client is 36% done already and its only running on 1 processor :D
Now I was thinking about trying 3.25.. But I noticed a 4.00 too.. Did anyone try 4.00?
Also that MaximumPC site is where I was looking for HT enabled folding, but I dont quite understand what they mean.. I am going to look at it again...

Im being lazy, but does folding work when your screensaver is active? I dont use any special screensavers outside from the blank screen and power off in 30 minutes...
But for some reason the percentage the WU was at compared to when I left until I came back was small...
Where's v4? Folding will obviously be best when the cpu can give 100% of its attention to folding. I have my own screen power off after 5 minutes of inactivity. When in doubt check your log file
Just wondering saps, do you have your project perference to folding@home, genome@home, or no preference?

Yeah here's the link I got from [H] here. Until everyone and their dog says its faster I'm sticking with 3.25
Well add me to the team. Will have only two cpu's folding. 1 24/7 nd the other 12/7. Also everyone grab the 3.25 console, and use this in the shortcut -forceasm to use SSE cpu insructions over the 3dnow:) had around 5000 points for AOA forum. I was ranked pretty high on the team

But it seemed odd that it was at 25% when I moved the mouse to see how far it went and then in a few moments hit 28%...
Shrug.. Also I guess there is no way to store upcoming WU like Seti?
I still cannot seem to get HT with the GUI... But the link on that site you gave me was for the console only..

AFAIK, the running of two Folding instances can only be done with the console version. I've gotten it to work, but it's fairly problematic compared to the GUI version.
Getting it to work may or may not be worth it to you though. According to the Folders over at Xtreme systems:
HT on and HT off will fold at the same speed with 1 instance
HT on with 2 instances increases production 15 - 20%
I know it can be done via console, I have done it with the console.. When I was experimenting earlier... But Im not using Console now :)

I ran it a work yesterday, with slow progress because the laptop went into standby. Got home, fixed the standby issue and let it run overnight. It was loged in to my work domain with cached credentials. I had 250+ at 4am when I packed up for work. Got here and logged into the domain. The work unit started at 60, the same place it was when I left work yesterday. Then it reset to 0 :mad: :mad: :mad:
I'm not sure what the heck caused it to do that. Any ideas?
My computer sat idle most of the night - Norton Firewall blocked the client from connecting to the server. Oh well, it's fixed now.
I'm in. I dont always have my pc on, but 100% of my idle time will go towards folding.
