Plasma is by far the best way to go these days. With all the improvements made to reduce burn in, energy consumption, and noise there really isn't a reason to get a LCD anymore unless you want a small set. The viewing angles, contrast ratio, refresh rate, and color gamut are all way better than LCD. The only downside is that text can not look as sharp as it does on an LCD, but an LCD looks too "sterile" when compared to a plasma, which has a more natural picture.
Anyway, I just beat Dead Space 1 on PC and it was great. I had some frustrating issues such as random crashes and various glitches (scripting locked up) that ruined a few of the chapters. The narrative was painfully predictable as well as the fighting. I ran up to a character I had been talking to for quite some time on the radio and I said to myself "I bet he gets shot and or killed before I get there and then I get bum rushed by necros" and sure enough that happened. I even started calling how many waves would come from a room or what would set off a necro attack. The scripting was far too transparent, but the game is 3 years old.
Overall, I would highly recommend it! Another problem was that I had it set on medium and it automatically went to hard out of no where with no option to set it back. It made the last few levels a little hectic especially since it crashed to desktop on the last boss.
It was still worth the play through, solid game!
