After looking at the other thread, it looks like you got it. Everything back to normal RB?
Question #1: I have enabled large WU on all of my folding rigs. I understand the concept of larger WU= more points. Would it be better to disable large WU's on the slower rigs to get more steady results? My two little ones (PIII 866 & Athlon 700) only spit out results every two or three days, and the points are not really whoppers.
Question #2: One of the other rigs is my Mom's computer and I had the screensaver version installed on it. There is a box I hadn't noticed before that allows WU's for the folding or genome project. Do genome projects get credited to the F@H account? If not, I suspect a few results didn't make it on the F@H tally. I switched hers to the graphical client instead, just in case.
Queston #3: If I run the client as a service, is there a way to check progress for that individual machine? Does that one have the text log like the others?
Question #4: What stat proggy is everyone using. fah logstats is a dead link, so I tried EM III and cannot figure it out for the life of me! Any better progs, or help getting EM III configured?

Yeah, you just create a folder and put FAH5console.exe in it (I think that's the name) and run it. It will pop up and ask you the standard setup questions that the console verion always asks.. name, team, etc. One will say "do you wish to install this as a service?" hit yes.Quote:

Once you finish everything it will start running the program. At this point, shut the DOS box (thus stopping the program) and reboot the machine (or just manually start the FAH service).. it will now run silently in the background.
It keeps the same logs/files as the normal console version, which I assume is the same as the GUI version.

#3 Text log is in your Folding folder. FAHlog is the file for your current work.

marv - I'll continue to let fate decide which WU's the little ones get I guess. It's all folding, right?;) The FAQ link you gave answered the Genome question. I should've checked that first before opening my yap! It appears they count, but they don't have deadlines and there aren't many of them going around. Thanks for that one and the other links were useful as well.

I got one of those 600pt Gromacs on a machine running 2 instances of FAH: 46% done and ONLY 119 hours to go! :eek:
The genome@home setting on the older FAH clients just runs FAH WUs that have no time limit -- good for old slow machines.

I finally got both systems folding again. However, my Server will be down for a couple days next week, upgrading it again.
I got myself a new computer. The cpu is amd64 3000+ socket 754 and boy does it work fast in everything and especially in folding. I got it run from stock 2.0ghz to 2.2ghz on the retail heatsink. Folds much faster than my barton I had which also ran at 2.2ghz.

What kind of times are you getting with the a64? Just wondering because Im thinking of trying one one out.
