1) Two of those 100 yard games were against 2 of the worst rushing defenses in the league.

2) By inconsistent I mean it has not been there all season. It has come on as of late as you point out, but in my mind, consistent would mean its been there for the season.

3) My point was that bad weather would lead them to run more, I didn't say anything about whether that would hurt or help the run game.

4) Granted, I haven't watched much of GB recently, but if I recall, Favre likes to take chances with a lot of his throws (hence why he is the all time leader in yards, TDs, and INTs), and in windy conditions the margin for error becomes much smaller as risky throws become even riskier.

5) You are right, the Favre fluke prediction is looking pretty thin now. His second half QB rating, so far, is better than the first half which shocks me. On the other hand, I would point out that in the last 3 games he's thrown 5 picks while he threw 8 in the first 12 games.

Both Trent Cole and Mike Patterson got ripped in the pro-bowl...I am not just being a homer. They both should have been at least back-ups. Cole has 12.5 sacks to Uminora's 12, and 65 tackles to Osi's 43. His 65 tackles are more than any NFC pro bowl end, and sacks are one off the most in NFC

Patterson leads ALL tackles with 61 tackles and has 4 sacks. he numbers are even better than Pat Williams, who many consider the best tackle in the game right now.

I know Philly has had a bad season, but the defense has been outstanding, 4th in total D, 3rd in rushing D, and 1 in red zone D. I think at least one, if not both of those guys should have made it.

Just to answer #2, I would much rather be better at something now, than at the beginning of the season. Teams do improve at things during the course of 4 months. Green Bay is obviously a much better running team right now than they where 6 or so weeks ago, who really cares how they ran the ball week 2 anyway? A coordinator right now has to game plan against a strong running game, thats all that really matters.

Very true, my point is that it has been inconsistent so I am more hesitant to say they will definitely have success running the football in the future given that they have struggled at times this year. The recent trends are good for GB, the overall picture across all weeks is not as rosy. That's all.

Yeah, as long as he keeps his word he has no plans to coach. He is still an excellent judge of talent and I am sure he can build a solid football team, but his coaching philosophy is pretty much outdated. He was just way to predictable and both his offense and defense were way too "vanilla" when he was with Dallas. But he did draft very, very good, so he should be able to help turn that team around with a little luck.

I had always thought that Parcells got the absolute most he could out of any given talent. His ability to take the worst team in the league, and make them a playoff contender the very next season was amazing. He may have had trouble with having success in the playoffs later in his career, but his "one year" turnarounds were miraculous.

Jimmy Johnson was the best judge of talent I thought in the modern era. He built the 'Phins at the end of Marino's career. ANY success that the 'Phins have had since he left was due to his drafts. I'd love to have him as GM, and Parcells as coach.

Zach Thomas -5th rnd. Jason Taylor - 3rd rnd. Patrick Surtain - 2nd rnd. Sam Madison - 2nd rnd.

Jimmy Johnson's ability to find gems in the later rounds was nothing short of amazing. Many people credit the Hershel Walker trade with the success of Dallas in the 90's... but I think that's just a small part of the story. The bigger part in my mind is the key players on that Dallas team who were drafted from round 2 to 12 (remember Larry Brown? SB MVP? 12th round pick... and a starter at corner).

I remember the Rams trading away Eric Dickerson in a Hershel Walker type trade (actually even before the Walker trade) and having the foundation and the picks for an excellent team. Years later they had pissed those picks away on the likes of Gaston Green, and Bill Hawkins.

I always thought that Johnson's ability to uncover talent exceeded that of Parcells, but the getting the most of players by Parcells exceeded that of Jimmy Johnson. Though both were also good also as coach and GM respectively.

This is all much ado about nothing. He said he couldn't wait to win a Super Bowl then spend some time in Hawaii for the pro bowl checking out girls in bikinis. One reporter decided to use that to segue into asking about Jessica Simpson, and TO cracked a few jokes. If you hear the actual clip, it's obvious he's joking.

I wake up this morning, and noticed this is a story on the Sportscenter updates on ESPN radio. Must be a slower news week than I thought.

Point on turnarounds well taken, but he didn't get close to the most out of the Cowboys last year.
