I know...
I used Macci cause it was a decent comparison for 3DMarks... His core was clocked less then yours, but his CPU was a tad higher and so was his score.. So it was a nice base point :)
Granted you can have the same setup as him and never score as close, since he knows so many tweaks its not even funny!!!

Wow... seeing all this P4 madness... makes me happy about the purchase I just made. Ummm... Im going totry and go for the highest record on a 9700PRO card! I would be REALLY happy to see if i can break 3.5Ghz on my 2.4C.

Yeah, it's working out good so far. I sold my 2 other 2.4's on ebay already:) Only thing is I need a more powerful power supply. They recommend a 550 watt enermax (36a +12v) unit for a Vapo and I only run a 350watt unit:( When I open programs and stuff like that you can hear the Vapo compressor fan slow down and my 12v rails drop and temps rise. I was told I may get a higher and more stable oc also from upgrading the psu. Then I guess I'll sell my enermax whisper unit on ebay also:)
Then a reformat and maybe a 200+fsb and benchies w/o sp1&dx9
Now I need a pelt for my 9800....

Your right. It's pretty cramped in there although I have heard of people using 2 power supplies, but I was told a 550 enermax would be enough(the one with the 36a 12v rail) Yeah, I guess I was lucky that the 350 is holding up to the torture of running the Vapo and 9800:)

Yes, the Enermax with 36A on the 12v is the top PSU at the moment for the Vapo.
If your in for some modding action you can fit the PSU on its side in the top compressor compartment.
Man I need one of those Vapos or prommies.:)
I couldn't hit 23K. Disappointment. I did manage to increase my lead pretty nicely though.

yes you were right. But the reason is my frickin memory. I can't run 5:4 at 284fsb. I have to run 3:2. I have no idea why my Corsair PC-3500 is not cuttin it. If I could have made it do 5:4 I'm sure I would have hit 23K.Quote:

I had my card at 530/380 for car test. 517/380 for nature. 519/378 for the rest. :)
I have the classic but it's the newer style so it's the same case as the se/pe version. I'm gonna order a new psu prolly monday. I wanna see what this killer cpu Colossus sold me will really do in the cold:)Quote:

How do you run each test at different GPU speeds? Dont you run all the test at once @ one set speed?
Also Have you tried to disable HT and push a higher overclock? :)
I did disable HT but it didn't help my OC any and caused my Dragothic scores to dip, so I put it back on.Quote:

I run each test separately in my own order. I then adjust my GPU clocks in between each test.:)

hmmm... Benching like that will increase your overall score then all tests at 1 speed?
I'm pretty surprised that you do not already do this. This is even posted in Pyros guide. It is most beneficial to do this.:)Quote:

Nope.. I always thought the way he mentioned that.. Was to test how stable the overclock is.. I didnt know you can run each section with a different overclock and it will still show you a score.. I thought you had to run it from front - back to get a complete score...

I guess Im not a hardcore 3Dmark scorer... The ONLY thing I do is
1. Disable all addon devices (lan,sound,com,parallel, floppy, etc)
2. Maximum overclock that will complete 3DMarks
3. Drop in 3DMark HD, (needs clean install)
4. Disable most services (drops memory usage for XP down to under 40MB)
5. Installed 3DMarks01se 330
6. Install RivaTuner
7. Overclock video card with RivaTuner
8. Run benchmark 1 - 7
Done!
Thats basically what I do but I also adjust clocks between each test.:)
vertices: Does a person have to have the pro version of 3D mark to run one test at a time. I can`t find where to do it with the free version.

When you run 1 test on 2001 it will tell you at the end that you did not run enough tests for a score. Just close that window and select your next test. Run that one you will see the same window at the end telling you that you did not run enough tests.
After doing this for the 4 game tests it will give you score at the end.:)
but for 2003 you have to buy it to do this.
