Heh, I was actually talking about the Sean Taylor situation and the enormous amount of media gushing I've put up with as a result. All week it's been "Sean was this-and-that to his teamates, and as a result they will beat everyone they play."

I'd swear Collinsworth was trying to resurrect him during the game.

Not trying to be a a-hole, just pointing out a spooky coincidence.:p

The Sean Taylor think didn't even click for me. I just assumed you hated the Redskins or loved the Seahawks or something like that. :D

The giants had a great win. Corey Webster had a good game, he usually gets burnt at least once a game for a big play.

Eli was fired up which was nice to see

There were surprisingly a lot of giants fans at the game.

The giants are confident going into dallas. I can't wait.

Me neither. I want to see NYG in Seattle in two weeks.

I am a Jacksonville fan now. Those guys are fun to watch.

Yea they are.

I've always had a soft spot for them ever since they stomped miami 63-3 or something rediculous like that in the playoffs 10 or 11 years ago.

I'm happy to say I jumped on their bandwagon in September of last year, two games into the season. All you guys that are late to the party, I hope there's some chips left. :D

Ugh. I remember that game. And Miami's D was actually good back then...

That game knocked both Marino and Jimmy Johnson into retirement. Dave Wannsted (D coordinator) should have been taken out back and shot after that game.

The beginning of the end for Miami was when Johnson left. He built a great D... and left the team a playoff contender. In fact, that game with Jacksonville was the game after they beat Buffalo I think.

(yea... they not only made it to the playoffs in the past... but actually won the odd game or two)

After Johnson left, there was a steady decline. Talent signed elsewhere, or got old... and was not replaced. The only good players left on Miami are all older Johnson regime players. With the one exception of Ronnie Brown.

Wannstedt was a big part of that decline.

I can't wait for the Jags Vs. Pats game. It should be a very entertaining game. But the Pats will win a close game. The Colts should win mainly because you never know which Rivers, the Chargers will get. Seattle should win but I'm rooting for Favre. The Cowboys and Giants should be an interesting game to watch especially if T.O. is back but I hope the Cowboys win this one.

I don't really know who to root for in the Pats/Jags game. I like the Jags a lot, and they have a lot of guys that I like, but the Patriots have my favorite player (Welker) and I think it would be pretty cool to see history made with a 19-0 season.

It's probably still more likely that the Cowboys win than not, but I wouldn't say it's much more than 50-50. Giants destroyed Tampa a week after they gave the Pats a run, so they're pretty hot right now, while the Cowboys had a pretty big dropoff at the end of the year and may have peaked a bit too early.

Colts and Green Bay in the other games, though I'm honestly not too interested. Actually, now that I type that, I really want the Colts to win because I don't really like the Charger's tendency to party like it's 1999 after tackling a running back after a two yard gain.

Look for Manning to throw a crucial interception that dooms the Giants this week.

I was waiting for that last week. As was Tampa... and it didn't happen. Against a team that they said was #1 in the league against the pass.

Instead we saw a poised QB who made all the right reads, and made all the right decisions. Some of the throws were off... but for the mostpart, Manning looked magnificent in a hostile environment against a tough team defence.

Thing with Manning is... will it be Jekyll, or Hyde next week? I wouldn't write him off so quickly.
