Just joined the team last night. Looks like 5000 frames. Will report back in October! :O
I see it changes the estimate based on uptime. In that case next week. All done here for now. Can't wait to submit my first. I haven't folded since UD a few years ago.
those 5000frame WU's are worth a good amount of points, Ive set my rigs up to get only the big ones.... pull in a few hundreed points.
Ok so I decided I'll give a go on my laptop before I start on my desktop. Downloaded and is folding as I write this. Ok it's a bit slow like 104 days for 1 WU (lol?), but nevermind that. (btw it's 103 days now :D )
Now I only have a small question if anyone can answer... when I hover the mouse over the small red rose icon, it tells me F@H Working 0/5000, but when I press on display this is what I get:
Frames completed: 0/5000
timing estimated
15/5000 (estimate)
Now this is where I lose it. It showed the time before, but now it ain't. And now it's telling me completed 0 but yet 2 lines below I see 15 completed. What's wrong?
Oh and BTW, how come I'm not on the list of Sharky users here:

Oh and on this page, where again it's the Sharky Folding Team where do I view all the users? It only shows the most points on top 20 users for the day.
Finally, how do my points get updated on the link below, I suppose that is my profile link. Do I need to quit F@H for it to update or send a report... I thought it was automatically sent or something.

Did you put in your team name, as 34149
the time that it ends is just an estimate, its usualy highly innacurate. The first line is how much you have done, the 2nd line i guess is how much it estimates youll have done...
I used to be worried about that stuff but i just let it do its thing, and its doing it well.
Yeah I did put my team # as 34149. Well I stoped it, and still nothing is updated on my profile page.
Thanks for the info though. Well, I'll install it on the desktop and see what happens there, gonna continue with the same stats, and if anything I'll report again.
As I understand it, you're currently crunching your first WU. Is that correct?Quote:

yup, you also have to give the stat site time to update, i think ti does it ever 6 hours or soQuote:

I'm in. Only have one comp to use, and whenever I'm not gaming... But I guess every little bit counts :) If only i had a spare 10-15 gig hd for my other old 933 MHz compaq.... would be a MUCH better use for it than rotting in the garage ;)
You need to run 2 separate clients with 2 separate F@H directories. You can't run 2 visual clients (or ar ethey called GUI? i dunno), but you can run 1 visual and 1 console version. Or just run 2 console versions, it works out well that way.Quote:

I just signed up with my laptop, it's nice that there's an option to automatically pause when running on battery power. I'll hook up my AXP1800+ soon to and ask my brother about his AXP2800+ when he gets back from germany.
The team would probably take off again if it were promoted better, maybe just a little box below the sidebar like Tom's does for their UD team. Major Geeks is moving up fast and has a folding team link on their main page to a page explaining folding. Gruntville's folding team has it's own forum, but then again they have about a hundred forums... Maybe for Sharky's a sticky on the tech support board would work best, since that's the forum that gets the most traffic. It could say something like "Has SharkyForums helped you out? Thank them while supporting a good cause by joining the SF Folding Team". Just a thought.
Well I just submitted my first result. I was hoping to make more of an impact on my first entry point wise by curing cancer with my first result, but to tell you the truth I was having some issues with how the core operates. I had multiple restarts of projects and the way I run my rig, with shutting down services and bg apps for benchmarking and all...well I'm glad I got my feet wet on the project. Hopefully sapasion will return someday and reinstate the logo on the team page. There u go.
