I have not yet seen anything that says QMD units will run efficiently on AMDs yet without a hack that violates the Intel compiler EULA.
The issue is that FAH uses an intel compiler for the QMD units that checks to see if it is running on an Intel CPU, if not the compiler disables SSE2. This is only an issue with QMD units though. HERE is some more info on this issue.
The unit you are running is not a QMD unit, but is a gromac.
Good to know! Well I just got a "Dell" so I have my dun dun dun daaa VERY FIRST P4! For folding model 4550 2.53 I put a gig of ram in it so maybe I should set it up for the QMD units and I could up my ppd I will give it a shot today it's not to cold out in the shop/folding farm.
Congrats on the National championship! Wake
Need some advice and thanks in advance. Got tired of paging thru this monster thread  Can I run two copies of FAH using the Opty 175 in my sig. Best to use the GUI or the console? If I can run two copies, can I do it from the same or different libraries?
Sure can, it's a dual core processor correct? I prefer the console versions and like the 5.04 beta console.
Make two different named folders and download a copy of the folding program to each folder. During the configuration for each folder you must use two different machine ID's 0 for one install and 1 for the other. -local must be used for the folding graphical client, IIRC.

Can I do this on my single-core P4 w/HT??
Nice temp's, my P4 is about 58C running two consoles. Anyway, on a Hyper-Threading system (wish I had a dual core), if you go into services and shut one of the consoles down, task manager will report only 50%+/- usage instead of 100% and I would assume it's the same for a dual core.
That's what I'm running two consoles with. Plus the intel system will run the big packets, QMD's.Quote:

Marv, those QMDs on my Intels are monsters: I'm running 2k a day now that all my Intels are stuffed full of 'em.
True! :cool:Quote:
