Mouser is a great place to shop.. I have ordered form them before...

I never used the paste.. But mikead_99 knows what he is talking about :)

I dont prefer RS, but when I am in a bind.. They do work (mostly).. But I stay away from anything they label.. Such as VCR/DVD/TV's etc etc etc... I just stick with the aligator clips/resistors/caps/wire/etc...

Their stock is usually pretty limited.. But they might carry a adaquate replacement...

Hmm, I'm not sure what you are going to use clips for, I'm not familiar with mods for your board. I think the stuff here is what you are looking for though. Something like C, G, or H? You can PM me or post back here if you have more questions or whatever. If you have any linkage for the mods you have in mind I can probably help you fill your cart better if you need. I'll be on and off a few times today, but probably more off. Playing with some of my own mods today. :D I decided to do the vDimm/VTT on my IC7 since it was a better o/c'er than my Max3. I might just get rid of Max3, or give it to the wife if it works out well.

5 volts derived v-Core/vDimm? :eek: Wow! Scary how you could melt stuff with that if something goes bad. Anyway, the guys talking about using a 2.2k trimmer, which isn't a standard trimmer value, but if you get one of the ones at the top of this page (3296P series) in a 5k, you can start out with it centered (2.5k to either side of center pin) and still have plenty of turns to keep you from mistakenly over doing it. I see why you want the clip now too, soldering to the IC leg would be tough. You can try to follow the trace from it and see if there is a better place to solder, but the clip should work too. Other than that all you'll need is whatever guage wire works with your clip and you should be good to go. You could probably go completely solderless and clip to ground somewhere too.

Awesome! :eek: For your Vmods you might try picking up some test clips I use, they're the clip-on pin type, very small 1 1/2" long, they're the kind that have like a little hook on the end. I think I found them at Radio Shack and they work nicely on ICs. Found 'em, they're called mini-clip jumper wires: http://www.radioshack.com/category.a...1%5F000&Page=1

great, those look perfect, i'll pick some up when i get home. i tried 234FSB but my ram just won't do it (i get crashed back to windows on any high detail test). i guess i can try for maybe a little more video card speed tomorrow morning before i leave...

Got a question: Is it true that 3DMark scores can be submitted with different video card speeds? I know that if the CPU speed changes a lot it would let you submit, but what about video card?

I surprised myself with this one. I just did the VTT fix on my Max3 yesterday, and a little gpu v-mod ;) , and I thought I'd see how '03 ran. Pretty good I'd say! I'm going to wait a little while to update my '01, my Mushkins are clearly burning in now. I gained 6 MHz since yesterday at 3.05 vDimm. I want to see if I can get them to match my cpu max before I really go after '01. I don't see myself getting much higher than 23.5k anyway, which isn't going to move me in the standings.
