I just put my laptop on full-time folding duty for the team.
After a long layoff, I'll be folding some again on a small scale.
Quick question, Are the any performance flags to add for AMD systems like there once were, or is it just download and run?
Just download and run. Welcome back!
Sadly, I lost two folders yesterday, so adios to that 1600+ a day. Sold my two month old Dell DImension 9400 laptop at my original cost (didn't need it anymore) and gave my Mom one of my P4-3.4 folders although I left FAH on there in stealth mode, so when she hooks it up it will be working for the Beast. :)
lol nice workQuote:

On my C2D I can run benches with 2 consoles of FAH on or off and it does not affect any of the results of the benchmarks. One caveat is that there is one program (if you run it) that you have to increase its core priority to be higher than FAH -- that is DVDFab Decrypter because it too has a very low priority set as its baseline for some reason.
ah okay, will try to get a few more rigs up for folding.
Cool.Quote:

well, now that I'm settled in my new box, I've decided to try folding again. It won't be 24/7, but it'll be running on both cores whenever my comp is on.
I've had a bit of trouble with the console. I can't start or stop the folding without ctrl-alt-dlt ing and then stopping the processes. I've tried some batch files I've found, but when I execute them, they don't do anything. I'm a bit confused as to why they don't work.
speedy -- that C2D should fold real nice. Don't know why the consoles are a problem, haven't run into that. Merry Christmas and Happy Folding! RB :D
Thanks, you too RB! Have you or anyone else here tried folding on the gpu's as well? I looked into it a little and saw it's still in beta, so I'm not too sure I want to mess with it yet.Quote:
